The file sharing sites that were once legal were the ones that were P2P type. The sharing service did not itself have any of the shared files on their servers. They instead would link u up with other users who had what u were looking for on their shared folders on their PCs. Napster used that in their defense but they lost anyway. Now we have torrents that work similar to that. That's why they want to make it illegal to even have a LINK to a copyrighted work. It's all kinda ridiculous.
