  • red shirts

  • desperate to find the tab so i can cover it!

  • @WillTheFace the chords sound pretty easy to me...Give it a go, I'm sure you'll do a good job of it. And the guitar solo? Even I could play that! Good luck!

  • @TheLinz78 yh but im not sure what the chords :/

  • Hey iam from Costa Rica and sleepwalking was my first cd. Have great memories about this band.

  • Proper Hull band - Respect Kingmaker.

  • Miles Hunt innit? He wished.

  • Fantastic memories... my friend Niki and I hitched around the country after these guys in the early 90s. Happy days, uncomfortable nights trying to sleep in phone boxes. Really Scrape the Sky is still my favourite, but this one has my name in it, so... Queen Jane ftw. Hello John!

  • I remember seeing this video just once in 1993 on "super channel". Never heard of that band or song again. But I do remember being mightily impressed by the way the drummer handles the snare drum. Oh and those lovely English beaches!

  • KINGMAKER - Live at the Adelphi in Hull on Dec 11th 2010!!!!

  • @andreja0 GUTTED

  • 2/3 of Kingmaker are playing the Bull & Gate, Kentish Town, this Friday (17th September 2010)

  • Went to see them (not sure why in watching this!) and saw Suede in support: the start of an obsession...

  • Hell of a lot better than Housemartins/Beautiful South. Great energy and talent

  • I've been Googling this band for ages. Great stuff. 90s!

  • Actually bought this IN 1993 it was a two C.D set you had to buy the 2nd disc two weeks later.

  • Great stuff

  • Love this band so much. Somebody needs to put out a rarities/outtakes collection, they had like three full albums' worth of top-notch songs that weren't on albums.

  • Rock on Kingmaker! One of their best!

  • True Indie music - thank the world.

For all those living in then wilderness - the is what you have been waiting for!

Now - go listen to 'ten years asleep' and tell me I'm wrong!

  • My mates band 'Marmalade Sun' from Sheffield. google em. X

  • cool music, cool band. I live in St Leonards-on-Sea where this was filmed, and I don't remember it ever looking as good as it did in this video, 4 someting years before I was born. And they probably had to saturate/brighten the sky even so.

  • yeah, I spotted the saturation editing- at 0:31 the moss growing on the groynes in the background (groynes are beach divisions to prevent longshore drift from washing away the shingle) is way more green then it is in real life.

  • True Indie music at its best! Check out Armchair Anarchist - this band captures the zeitgeist in spades...

  • awesomee :P,, Im 100% not joking when i say,, the drummer is my mates dad :D he lives in hull ;D i 100% promise im not lying :D

  • @hbth19 can either of you tell us what ever happened to loz then?!?! x

  • upload loveless/defamed

  • I came across this band by accident a couple of years ago - glad I did. Sleepwalking is a lost classic, shame they didn't make it.

  • Great band - nearly made it - trouble is the bands that tended to support them did better than they did, they were true kingmakers

  • ahhhhhh...it's gratifying to know i'm not the only person in the world who remembers this band.

  • Haha, Loz has the same glasses as me.

  • Haven't heard this one in 16 years! CHEERS!!!!!!

  • Hastings seafront never looked so cool....

    (my home town)

  • "Hastings" and "cool"...

There's two words I never thought I'd see in the same sentence. Great song though!

  • F----ing great it's like watch Spiderman play indie guitar.

  • More ska than rockabilly

  • lol patsik asked if this is a 50's.

Fuck not! Their clothes are 60's style somthing of rockabilly. But their rock is i think more similar at indie rock or something else...

    cya.

  • Erm... I suspect Patsik was talking about the guitar being from the 50's.

  • fucking amazing.i love this song to bits.cheers

  • this really brings back memories! brilliant!

  • Yeah great guitar!

    Is it a 50's?

I believe it's a reissue just like mine! But that doesn't matter.

    It's a great guitar!

  • Quality! Went to a few Kingmaker gigs in the late nineties round manchester, They were awesome live!

  • thanks for this mate! still a very treasured underrated band in my eyes.

  • Brilliant, I've been looking for this for ages! I remember buying 'Sleepwalking' on cassette the very next day after seeing this video. The lead singer always reminded me of Buddy Holly. Thanks for posting!
