My horse got scared when a stampede of deer barged and pranced in the middle of my dressage lesson. He galloped and broke of the lunge line (I'm training him) and started bucking then I feel and my hip pierced the corner of a mounting block! And he stepped on my leg. Its funny when something random happens and scares the crap out of a horse!

good that must have hurt i done that but it was on a little shtland when i was about 5 and it got stung by a horse fly it was so funny it went like a bucking bronko and i stayed on a little while then fell of the pony canterd towards my mum and she would not let it past so it turned round canterd towards me (im on the floor at this point) jumped me and galloped of it was so funny

oh god that is exactly what happened to me when i was breaking my mates horse 'snowy' in for her. it hurts but they key thing is to get straight back on unless youve hurt yourself

i don't really think it was an elastic band pinging in her eye that made her buck! how could you know that? and even if it was, she wouldn't buck, she would fling her head up and shake it and maybe spook sideways. this was either a pain buck, or just a bit too much energy.
