The Rubicon is just a special edition of the Wrangler with bigger tires and all that off road jazz, the deal pertains to all Wranglers. I would highly suggest getting a Wrangler or Rubicon if you don't plan on driving to work with a suit on in it every day. I love my Rubicon, but it is far from luxurious. I actually bought a 97' BMW as my everyday car because it's rather uncomfortable driving the Jeep with a suit on with the soft top up every day.
I'm going to open a BIG can of worms and tell you that you don't have to buy a NEW Wrangler. Ask 100 "Jeepers" which is their favorite, and you're likely to get 100 different answers(and they're ALL correct). :S I personally bought a 97 TJ,(new)added a few tricks ,and it's been good enough for me for 218k (with "incidents") on/off road miles. Ask around. Kick some tires. Whatever you buy, you'll wind up making it your own. That's part of the "Jeep thing". Goodluck,and we'll see ya off road. :)

I drove all the cars in manual paddle shift mode as well! Wait til the Gallardo and F430, you'll see some shifting in those because they are only manual paddles.

Here's an idea,just an idea Fast Lane Daily. How about you give a Viewer a chance to drive it ???. Yes, the viewer must have a license, no pts. A G.E.D. would be helpful, A H.S. diploma a bonus. A College degree, the viewer get's to choose from your cars of course. Just a thought ! Not much of one, but... since you did win that "Award". Actions Speak Louder than Words.

The Rubicon is just a special edition of the Wrangler with bigger tires and all that off road jazz, the deal pertains to all Wranglers. I would highly suggest getting a Wrangler or Rubicon if you don't plan on driving to work with a suit on in it every day. I love my Rubicon, but it is far from luxurious. I actually bought a 97' BMW as my everyday car because it's rather uncomfortable driving the Jeep with a suit on with the soft top up every day.

I'm going to open a BIG can of worms and tell you that you don't have to buy a NEW Wrangler. Ask 100 "Jeepers" which is their favorite, and you're likely to get 100 different answers(and they're ALL correct). :S I personally bought a 97 TJ,(new)added a few tricks ,and it's been good enough for me for 218k (with "incidents") on/off road miles. Ask around. Kick some tires. Whatever you buy, you'll wind up making it your own. That's part of the "Jeep thing". Goodluck,and we'll see ya off road. :)

Wow, because it's so much of a big deal that I've driven with excessive speed on the highway that I lie about it all the time. That's really what I live for. And no I've never been on that specific track, and I even said it would fine if it wasn't possible for him to go faster. I was wondering if he was ABLE to go fast and didn't or if he WASN'T able to do so. Catch my drift?

Hey everyone Derek D. here, yes i read ALL comments! Just some FYI, I drove these cares multiple times during the day. I CHOSE the first time around to drive them in automatic, just so happens thats the times we were filming.
I drove all the cars in manual paddle shift mode as well! Wait til the Gallardo and F430, you'll see some shifting in those because they are only manual paddles.

DEREK: use paddle shifters! i know it's hard enough with manual, but cmon, atleast DOMINATE the car, and tell it what to do, instead of letting it decide for you...

Congrats FLD on the PV Webby award. This is a great show and i hope it only gets better. One suggestion though, DD should have started out driving go karts instead of this monsters, they only show his inexperience as a driver!
