When I was in the police academy, our baton instructor made fun of Heather throwing the baton to trip up the fleeing suspect.
Well, thanks to Affirmative Action, most of the cops in my department either can't do middle school reading and math, or they're bigger criminals than the thugs on the street, or both.
How do you get this season on DVD, their starting to show parts from season 3 and 4 on tv. But their not released yet, anybody know where to get non bootlegs.
I know how you feel, Treebella. The TV shows were awesome back then. The only difference is I would love to relive my years in the 80's as an adult & not so much as a child.
This was my favorite season & introduction to this show, especially since this was the season when they changed the variation of the TJ HOOKER theme and brought Officer Jim Corrigan(Jim Darren)on the show to co-star with Officers Vince Romano(Adrian Zmed)and Stacey Sheridan(Heather Locklear), but this show just wasn't the same when Romano departed in the 5th Season which was the last season of this show before it was cancelled.
Gotta love the opening of this theme having TJ Hooker running with a gun to get into a defensive position. However, Stacy Sherdian throwing that night stick into guy running away pretty awesome scene too. Just don't understand why season 4 and 5 they got rid of the flashy lettering and settled on a plain yellow.
@Midnightguy1171 Hey there. To answer your question on why the starting credits changed back to yellow after season 3. Check out the TJ Hooker fan club on line. I am sure I saw some information in there about that, and lots of other stuff too.
My favorite Opening. I miss the OLD days. I was a young teenager in love with Adrian Zmed. Romano this Romano that. LOL. My parents were sick of hearing it, and my Uncle would call him gay. :-(
This was probably my favorite season of TJ HOOKER since this was the first season with Officer Jim Corrigan which gave us a chance to see Corrigan & Hookers short-tempered partner Vince Romano(Adrian Zmed)co-star together before Romano departed the show in the Fall of 1985.
@someguy728 Don't forget the closing credits too, nowadays they are on a split screen while the next program is starting or during a promo for some other show
@mrath Hey there. May be you can let me know if police do the foward roll like hooker does when he"s being shot at. I have not seen that in any other show, or in real life. But it does look great!!!. May be all police should do it as it looks really good.
Back then, I can remember my ex-Brother-in-Law trying to reenact the 'sliding across the ice' scene.......he ended up with 'king size' carpet burns on both arms! Bloody funny!
Shatner rules! But ... losing focus - when Heather shows up in bikini...
You had Heather Thomas, you had Heather Locker, and you had William Shatner, all on ABC. Why watch anything else? NBC? Turn that shit off, dude, give me my T.J. HOOKER
I wish I could go back just for one day in the 70' & 80's! I miss those years so much. :) Does anybody else feel the same way? If u do, give me a thumb's up!!
Well I don't know if I'd want to actually live in that time again (no cell phones, internet,GPS, etc.) but what I do know is that TV was certainly a HELL of a lot better in those days!!
OH man it's like you read my mind. I feel exactly like you do. The only thing we were missing in those days were the internet, mp3 players, digital tvs. If we had those things i would stay in the 80s forever. TV & Music today sucks.
And don't forget Saturday nights. In those days you had shows like this and also remember The Love Boat, Fantasy Island on ABC, Knight Rider, the A Team, Solid Gold and on some weekends Saturday Nights Main Event!!
@treebella23 Oh God yes! Is it rose-tinted glasses or were things really better then? Certainly less cynical. (At least on music/TV) Best wishes from Galway, Ireland. (though I'm English!)
Adrian Zmed was hot! Those pecks drove me wild! LOL! Anyway, I loved this show and watched it when it came on in the 80s cause I loved oh William Shatner. Plus Heather Lockler was in it and she is gorgeous.
I like to feel sexy....knowing someone is watching me ..wanting me...turns me on!BADLY! I like to flirt and pose..and sometimes i like to get WILD! how? ..he he..come in video and youll see:-)) maybe u can teach me something..or maybe i will ! come visit me at MeetYourFling (.COM) my user-id there is annamarie-pjvl chat soon on cam :-) trfvj
Nothing was hotter in the early eighties than a hottie in speedos like Adrien Zmed! And I have to say that Heather Locklear has definetly been a beauty...I would think about going straight for her.
I had a funny experience: During the nightshift I watched season 1 and 2 in 3 nights and realised that there are some scenes used in 10 episodes. I must have been blind when I was a kid.
But anyway, I agree with the comment below. It's really one of the best
I loved Adrian Zmed and James Darren at the time. Adrian was the leader of the T-Birds in Grease 2. Heather Locklear was in her prime back then and so was William Shatner. They selected a good cast.
I always smile when I think of this show from my youth...my late father always used to refer to The Shatner as "The 90-year-old Cop" - classic show, classic tune and one of my first tv crushes (Locklear, not Shatner!!)
