  • Tudo o que vem de Susan , eu curto muito, ela é um fenõmeno.

  • There is something seriously wrong with this....the whole premise that it is a real talent show where people pop out of the blue and perform amazing feats is a total dilution... I will challenge this show and all the people who play along with the falsehoods that we see....not so different from Hitler in terms of pulling the wool over people's eyes...inn terms of dilution of course..

  • @OOTS100 You are as right as you can be. And amzingly, I've compared it to Hitler too, this is a brain washing of immense proportions and pours billions into just a few pockets, starving the real art of all it's cash. I am a composer fro major labels and am always astounded that the public believe what they are being told. Your comment is perfect.

  • Man, fuck the entertainment industry. To think they marched this woman out, who they knew had talent, and then played on her emotions...FUCK ALL OF THEM. Her performance still makes me cry to this day because she came out and showed the world that it doesn't matter if you're not pretty, it doesn't matter if you don't have money. If you truly have talent, the world will sit up and take notice. Susan is a true talent, greater than her 'idol' Elaine Paige. Just a girl from a village. She rules.

  • Simon Cowell you are a genuine and incredible person. Thank you for helping Susan Boyle. You deserve to be successful, very impressive!

  • can someone explain to me what exactly happened?

  • @readingrox19 She came second in the Final and then she had a minor breakdown. Later she launched her singing career with very successful results ie she sold 14 million albums in 14 months.

  • Simon exposes the total phoniness of the show. "Calls me Mr. Cowell." NOT. She called you Simon after the audition.

  • @Mark6024 At the audition, when she called him 'Simon', he was not her manager, and at that point she hadn't any idea that one day he may become so. Later being her manager, she would of course out of good manners call him Mr Cowell. Therefore, the point you make is a fatuous one.

  • he can be a bit of a jerk about his "honesty" sometimes in judging, but he definetly earned some respect points here. didn't hesitate to say what's up and that he was wrong and he didn't try to play it off like he wasn't thinking bad about her. honest and straightforward.

  • well done Simon direct answers, did not beat around the bush, admitted what had happened where they had been mocking her and very truthful in that he admitted he was wrong. I have total respect for this man! thumbs up if u agree! :)

  • Really honest.

  • Huh. What an honest interview on his part. I've never seen him talk off the show before. I'm impressed.

  • susan you are really amazing

  • @brender1976

Read her book and you will know.

  • @beppenel Excellent reply in excellent English!

  • @brender1976 Susan's been bullied since childhood because she has suffered mild brain damage at birth. She has some symptoms of Autism, ADHD and some other syndromes. She's been made fun of all the time even after she released two best selling albums and working on a new one (will be released in the fall).

  • He is the man. Straight answers...fantastic. I like him.

  • Simon Cowell says: "So we all made a decision on what she was gonna be like based on the way that she was behaving and the way that she was dressed" Typical attitude of the of the many business sub-average individuals... If these individuals have a "setback" they cry and scream like the hairy-children that they are... If the setback gets complicated, they express the very egotistical and ignorant "Why me!!!???"

  • @jjojjorge ...what?????????........he and everyone else was judging her on first appearance.......which is how every single person on Earth operates......FIRST IMPRESSIONS....of course they can be deceiving.

  • @umhhj The vast majority of persons are prompt to prejudge, but not so to say they were wrong (If they say it, which mostly never happens)

Thanks for the example as to how, currently, the VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE are (Imprudent, as such, jumpers to conclusions)

We all have first PERCEPTIONS of others, not "impressions"; it really comes down to a mere reflection or our own character and mind....

  • @jjojjorge ...Your use of perception instead of impression seems unnecessarily redundant to me. I think all people prejudge people, whether they realize it or not. Do I think it is right.....No..... Do I think it is imprudent as you say....No...The fact is people do it and you saying you don't or never have prejudged an individual is quite self righteous of you. Anyway...all 3 judges and the crowd prejudged her, until she opened her mouth..so they prejudged only to be mistaken ...that's life.

  • @umhhj Pretty much I reply to you now with my original response. In any case, prejudgements, closed-mindedness, narrow-mindedness, and such, are disgusting; when I was younger it was difficult for me when most people I met jumped to conclusions...; really disgusting, horrible...

  • By the way, Simon if you are reading, you more or less are a mirror of the typical employer, human-resource manager, university admission representative, or the vast majority of decision makers.... Nothing extraordinary, exactly as your results or products...

  • @umhhj I have to agree w/ you that pretty much ALL people pre-judge others to some degree, even if not much. that doesn't necessarily make people bad or rude for doing it as it happens w/o thought. the degree of how far one takes their pre-judgement is a reflection of that person's own personality. I often presume things in my head about people but I'm polite and give everyone a chance before I automatically dislike something about them, but some people can be much more rude.

  • aww how cute she still calls him Mr.Cowell. Such an angel:)

  • Yo, that was amazing. I'm sorry....they don't ask those hard questions like that on American television over here, it's pathetic! She gave him tough ones and he went right there and answered them honestly. I guess it's kinda like how Parliament is the much more awesome and fun version of Congress haha

  • @ErnieFairchild1 Newsnight is a serious nightly current affairs programme in the UK. The commentator is used to interviewing senior politicians and world leaders. It just proves the impact Simon & Susan had made when they warrant inclusion in a flagship production like this. Kindest Regards.

  • Well done Simon.... you're great.

    Majella Murphy, Ireland.

  • best ever

  • dsd

  • I always suspected that Simon Cowell wasn't as nasty as he has let people think he is. I was right.

  • @yourdickis2limp Hilarious! I don't think. Childish in the extreme? Well Yes - that is nearer the mark. Grow Up!

Sincerley, I hope you do so soon - but hey, I'm not holding my breath. Limp -are you trying to corner the market in being infantile? If so, you're doing a good job.Bye, by e- you're boring me, and I can't be bothered anymore. Lost cause, I'm afraid.

  • I have links at the blog proving EVERY ASSERTION I MAKE.

  • best ever

  • Susan Boyle is a virtual CG effect created at RPI and funded by IEEE. The world is SO GULLIBLE. Check a person''s credentials and work history, references and intentions before following anyone.

  • @PaulGiffs You're an idiot. Do you wear a tinfoil hat too? etard.

  • 責任を感じていると言う割に

    これらは欧米では社会的に認められている行為なのでしょうか。

  • @ABQY8821 Exactly!

  • Susan is so better off now ! thank God for Simon!

  • i wonder if "this is even gonna stop?" is a good question,, not because ahe doesnt have the talent to go on forever, but because lets face it fame, is something that comes and goes, and it happens to many artist, you just need a new sensation to make everyone look away. How ever i do think that she will be a legend, and she has taught us so mush, or atleast her story has.

  • @stargirlsusan I REALLY agree with what you say here. Susan Boyle has been labelled by others as "mentally ill" having "learning difficulties" etc. Maybe she has, but she asked a darn good question of Simon Cowell "is this ever going to stop"? So much is implied with that question. You are totally right, talent, if nurtured and looked after, "can" go on forever (ok, people lose their voice, Whitney, or their looks if they model) but the circus of fame can come, visit and then move on.

  • There is a vase of rotting plants in the background of the reporter..

  • I normally really don't like Simon but I actually really respect him for doing this, he's so honest about it all

  • simon is a very tough judge. or was on american idol. But my hat goes off to him. He does have a very tender heart. you can feel it. Susan has an exceptional voice. When I hear her sing she brings tears to my eyes. Of course he is going to make money. It is his record label. But she will make a big chunk of money also. God bless

  • He seems to be a pretty decent guy in 'REAL LIFE'

  • Some people have interpreted the fact that she had some learning difficulties to mean she was mentally retarded. That is not what learning difficulties mean. It simply means that there are some things that are hard for her to learn. Most people with learning difficulties are perfectly normal in most ways. Some very smart and accomplished people have had learning difficulties, including Albert Einstein.

  • @alicefay Damn good statement. God bless you for pointing this out! Both my children and I have learning difficultes. What most people with learning difficulties lack in one direction, they make up in brilliance in another.

  • The way I heard it works is that the producers know what the contestants can do, but the judges are not told because they want their reaction to be genuine. That makes sense to me.

And the producers give the judges certain questions to ask the contestants to bring out their story, but that the judges do not know the answers before hand. That is why the questions seem to be so on point for each contestant.

  • wait a minute ..I think cowell knew she was a good singer before she came on since they have to go to two auditions before they do the final one .. I think it was a set up and he knew it was.. I bet one day she will just stop singing like that .. susan opened the age door and cut past the stupid ideas that an artist has to be 20... she is the kate smith of world war 2 .. she represents dreams ..anne bartee

  • @furgurl

  • simon has found the pot of gold in the other side of the rainbow, literally because i am pretty sure that she can sing any modern, classic song and make it sound so new and fresh just like "wild horses" that ,just like simon said " unstoppable"

  • Nice Simon, harsh and yet damn fair and honest. The guy knows his stuff.

  • a huge lifestyle change for her......she had to endurea so much and so fast and who would be able to keep their composure, she had everyone all over he world on her heels and door steps chasing her and wanting interviews and photos and what ever 24/7. That would shock anyone who has never been exposed to all this. What a quick lifestyle change for her.....

  • Simon may be a hard judge BUT when he is wrong he admits it!

He also apologize to Jennifer Hudson who was on

American Idol" He let her go & said some rude comments

and she became a success & a STAR in America! He apologize & send her

flowers on the Oprah Show. Now that's class & style!

I'm gonna miss Simon next season, it won't be the same

w/ him gone. Much love to Susan Boyle!

  • I never have noticed any disability on Susan. I love you, Susan. I will always be your fan.

  • hello

  • Simon has gone up in my book. He was caught off guard by the phenomena, but now he's accepted his responsibility to his artist. Susan deserves her break and I am glad her family is behind her.

  • honest and fair, simon.

  • Good lord bd do you not read or attempt to find out facts......Susan was starved of Oxygen for a short while during her birth which is what the problem was ...she was NOT abused she was not left alone until her mother passed away she was very close to her mum and her Kathleen... She was bullied by others who didn't understand her disabilities.. ... I recommend you get her book when it comes out.. and please don't comment on things you obviously know nothing about

  • That is great Simon and I congratulate you for what you have done so far. However there is still a lot of mileage left in Susan Boyle and great money making potential for both of you,So don't drop the ball now.please I really hope she is unstoppable.I do not doubt that with you behind her 100% she will be.

  • simon cowell is awesome. love his honesty. how often can we find people like him? game enough to voice his OWN opinion ALL THE TIME and game enough to apologize when he feels the situation calls for it?

I can hardly do both all the time in ordinary, everyday life!

  • Siimon makes hundreds of millions of dollars every year. Producing records is what he does. Finding talent is what he does. Of course he is in it for the money.

That does not mean he is heartless and would not put that aside for a person if he felt it was the right thing to do. It is obvious from the way he talks about her that he cares a great deal for Susan.

  • She is not MENTALLY ILL! She was abused and isolated and had never had any success and was alone, all of this would shock anyone!

  • Simon already has so much money, I believe that Susan was a bolt out of the blue for him. Susan is a one off and he is treating her as such, I tip my hat to him. Susan is a new phenoma for him too. Long live Susan Boyle-

  • @thescribe2010 I have the utmost respect for Simon. Some people dislike him for all the wrong reasons. Sure, he's said some unkind things to some people, but it has never been malicious. If someone watches the interview with Oprah, you will see him talk about his personal life and his struggle with depression, etc. And when you hear him talk so honestly about his life, it is clear to me that I would definitely want this guy as a friend. I bet he's an awesome friend to have!

  • Very honest interview.

  • Of course he's in it for the money. He's a businessman. But he's also a big enough man to admit his responsibilities. My opinion of the man has definitely changed for the better.

  • @MegaFrazer

He has confessed his arrogance, & apologisedt, & Susans deal is very favorable to her. She is being given very gaurded care & it is succesful. Susan is giddy.

Susan risked no money. And unlike most album deals, she is not liable for costs. Usually an artist is leable for every cost. I heard a break down. She is making approx $2.50 on every album sold. Her first album in one year will sell at least 10 million copies. Add appearances & she makes 30 mil+ before taxes.

  • Simon seems to care a great deal for Susan and always has. He has protected her right from the start - I think he's a far better person than he's given credit for being. Susan says he is a nice man - that's good enough for me.

  • second, haha xD yeah like that matters..

simon cowell is a pro, no matter how much people hate him.

    :)

  • i'm very happy for susan boyle
