@yamahabmxer1 Depends on the tone you're looking for. A P94, or any single coil pickup, is very different from a humbucker. Try a guit. with humbuckers and one with P90s and see which you like better.

Phil, ya got a great line up there. Question...What is the make / model of the Drills guitar? Looks like it's a blast to play, and I'm wondering if they still make them

@guitartec It's just an ESP LTD Viper. I think it's a 303 or something. They stoped making it. It was all Mahogany (Important) and had two humbuckers. Phil removed the humbuckers and put a P94 in it and the only colour ESP had available to give him was a really ugly brown so he covered it in stickers. It's not a Drills model guitar. :D

It is insane, i agree. lol From what it seems like, and somebody please correct me if i'm wrong, but he first pushes down on the strings raising the pitch while simultaneously bending the neck forward (releasing tension on the strings via the neck which is loose to allow bending) so when he releases the tension on the strings at the headstock, it sounds like the strings are "dive bombing" cuz they are being loosened. But that's what i see in the video. Hope this helps a bit.

@WolfOverdrive He just pushes the E string down behind the nut, pulls down on the E string with his fretting hand and releases it slowly, so it's no actually going lower than E, it's just starting at a higher pitch and unbending back down to E. :)

and really, the 56 les paul with p90´s it´s a monster.And i´m talking of the reissue. I can´t imagine how it sounds that les paul. If you want p90 option, go for the squier (Yes, squier) tele custom II. Amazing guitar. It´s light, and has the simplicity and playability of a tele with the electric setup of a les paul and 2 p90´s "duncan designed" that sounds great. For a ridiculous prize. I love it. It´s my day a day guitar.

thanx to phil I discover p90´s. Now I have the RI ofthat les paul 1956 gold top and a fender squier tele custom II (Great guitar, really, it combines the best of tele and a les paul) and now, I only play p90´s. The sound is so superior to any PU that you don´t need anything else.

Whoo! I love P90s too! Got myself one of them new Gibson SG Special 60s tributes. Frikken' amazing guitar for a "cheap" Gibson. Plays way better than many Gibsons 3-4 times the price to be honest!

I know a friend of mine who alos burnt his strat. 50th anitversay, cost him £1200. Just had it on the coffee table then dragged his lighter over it. he only wanted the to burn a few bit of to give it some wear, ended up burning most of the paint work off. That was a fun day .

Strats are amoung the few guitars that go up in value over time, regardless of what happens to them. The only way it'll lose any value is if it obviously snaps in half.

I have played the epiphone sheraton and the epiphone casino john lennon. I felt for versatility the Sheraton was best but for clean sounds i though the john lennon guitar was best. especially on the neck pickup that was the best clean sound i had ever heard for the neck pickup.

the LTD viper with wolverine and P94 is a 301. i dont even know if it's available anymore but it the 400 is cool. don't get a deluxe or 1000 or anything with a maple top because they suck. hahaha. no really but don't tell ESP i said that. said what?
