  • I'd rather be a healthy weight and have to work hard to accept it then be too skinny and feeling antisocial, depressed ,and effing crazy. :)

  • i do really like this video, although im not sure if i agree totally with you on everything, i dont think unhealthily overweight people should blame the way they are on genetics, that often leads to their health situation getting worse. i am a naturally slim person, but im sure if i ate a lot and made bad food choices i could eventually be fat. genetics is definitely part of it and i agree that you cant force a body type but i also think you are responsible for your health.. love your videos btw

  • Love this video! I think its a really important topic to discuss. Our society is going against nature!!! P.S. Your sweater/necklace/style is so lovely and classy! :) <3

  • i love the way that you look at this subject. i remember my little sister thought she was fat when she was perfectly fine, she had a little baby fat left and she was EIGHT years old. all because my stepmum was putting her down because of her own insecurities...

  • so i have this friend who calls everyone she wants ugly or fat, but at the same time she hates people who had suffered from anorexia or bulimia, ii mean i can't tell anything because i'm affraid she would know somethin or because i fuckin feel like shit everytime she opens her mouth, fuuckin hell! And yeah food is awesome if you find somethin you like and its healthy and just makes you feel happy. I loved this video! -3

  • Oh gosh i really loved this video, :(

  • I would love to see the video you mentioned.

  • look like or be anyone else. I have been in Recovery for 9 yrs, and recovered for 5. It was a long journey with many obstacles but.....I just wanted to say to all of those still struggling, KEEP FIGHTING.....YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!! Therapy is very important, learning to cope with your emotions and trauma in a healthy way is important. It's all part of recovery. FULL RECOVERY CAN BE ACHIEVED!!!!! I am living proof!!! Keep fighting everyone!!!

  • I agree with what you are saying. The important thing to learn, is to embrace, accept and love yourself, for who you are and what you look like. Recovering has a lot to do with loving you for who you are and accepting yourself for who you are and what you look like. When I was in recovery, I learned the greatest thing of all....to love myself for who I am, and what I look like. It would take a novel to explain everything I learned. I am now completely confident with who I am, and don't wish to

  • the culture/media video on eating disorders sounds amazing! :)

  • You're so intellectual. Everything you say is very educational and accurate. You and your videos teach me and comfort me so much. Love you xx

  • The volume was nice and loud this time :) Thanks Lou. You're a star. xo

  • first, lou you look great! second, when it comes to gaining/losing weight, isn't it just calories in vs calories out? if you eat more calories than you burn, you'll gain, and vice versa. not to say that your metabolism doesn't adapt, but i don't think it's necessarily fair to say that your weight is determined (if you're parents are fat, you probably will be too). each body may have a 'comfortable' weight range that it prefers to be in, but i dont think it's impossible to get out of that range

  • you are so inspiring lou!

  • Contemporary society has certainly been brainwashed by the media. The women depicted in renaissance artworks are the epitome of health, beauty and femininity. What man would want an emaciated woman bearing his offspring?!

  • You are so gorgeous and I love your outfits always!

  • @BabyPandaRito Thank you very much!

  • This makes me feel so much more worthy of gaining a bit of weight and getting to a more natural weight =)

  • @cheekybabe0293 So glad to hear it, brill xx

  • I have followed your path to recovery for about five years now. I myself have been in recovery for my anorexia for 27 years. It has been a constant battle in my life and to see your strength is an inspiration. Great videos and great information. Thank you for being you and sharing your journey with us!

  • @mylittlewitch You are welcome! I'm very glad my journey and rambles have been helpful x

  • ps. please would you consider making an update on your exercise routine? xx

  • @elizadoolittle25 Hmm... Or lack of it! :/ !!!

  • Hi Lou, I adore your sweater! Please would you let me know where you purchased it and what style it is? Thanks so much xx

  • Lou! I love your videos and i usually get them. This time, though, i feel like you really contradicted yourself. At the beginning it sounded like you were saying that genetics determine everything and we are all going to look like our parents. Then at the end you said people who exercise and eat right won't be bat. So if we eat right and exercise will we be thin even if our parents are not?

  • you are so gorgeous!!!

  • @chaquitabanana31 *Blushes!*

  • Never a truer word spoken. Lou, you're a legend!

  • @cluckycluck009 Thanks so much! :D x

  • girl you have a figure to die for!! how can you talk about not being thin when you are?? no offence like x x

  • @crazzyladiez I didn't say I was thin OR fat. I'm just normal!

  • @LouFederer i wasnt saying it a bad thing, was just saying your so thin and yet here you are talking about annorexia, i was just confused thats all, sorry :/

  • i wanted to say thank you for making your videos, because they really mean a lot to me.

  • i always say the same thing but you inspire me in so many ways!!! <3

  • I know you’ve already done a video on this, but could you show us some more of your incredible art work? I chose to do art in the IB at higher level, and you’ve been a huge inspiration in that decision, you have no idea. Not to mention an inspiration in recovering, but I’m not quite there yet..

  • youre amazing luu, one inspiration, something i greatly need at this point in recovery - thankyou x

  • You can control your weight. It's called stop being lazy and go out for a jog once in a while. You can lose weight without starving if you watch your calories and exercise every day. Metabolism problems only happen when your body goes in to starvation mode.

  • lou, i really want to thank you for your videos and your awesome advice.

i have problems with eating disorders since three years now, but i am getting better on recovery and concentrating on eating normal, but it is still hard sometimes.

i live in germany and nobody i know here does german vids about eating disorders, but i am so glad i discovered you, you are an inspiration to me. thank you:-)

  • Lou, if I recover from anorexia once and for all, I will have you and your videos to thank. I'm so incredibly grateful to you! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • Lou you should write a book!

  • You're so beautiful.

  • You really are an inspiration! Thank you! Love your videos

  • I don't like food, but my other me denies this.

    I'm torn apart, always been.

    How can I fix this?

I float in the air, feeling thin and rather bare.

But, from up high, I cannot see a safe way down.

    Is death so inevitable?

    It's shocking.

    By the way, excellent video!

  • @JosiahSCooper Great comment. You speak on the behalf of many <3

  • I really enjoyed this video ... In treatment, they told us that studies have shown that people trying to change their weight is the same as people trying to change their height in that it just doesn't happen. I believe that to be true, that you are the weight you when you eat well & exercise right. However, I've told people this & they stared at me & told me whomever told me that is a straight-faced liar! To hear it from someone else, especially you (!), makes my day (:

    <3 Emily

  • As a non-eating disordered person, this video really opened my eyes to how much of my time I actually spend concentrating on "being thin" or simply "wanting to be thin"... I truly hadn't even realised. Wow, social conditioning is terrifying...

  • I loveeee you soooo muchhh! Your advise and just general knowledge is amazing. You have really educated me in soo many things. Thank you Lou for sharing your broad knowledge with us all. <3 by the way you are gorgeous and I lovee your jumper in this vid! xx

  • Excellent video, really well thought through. I think it's sad that society's idea of what is 'normal' and 'healthy' in today's world is so divorced from reality.

  • OH and defo please do a video on culture / media and how it differs in different parts of the world :) x

  • Incredible video :) Just what I needed to hear right now x Favourites!

  • I really am too fat! 189lbs 5'6.5" but I am terrible at losing weight! :(
