  • damn you astronomers believe any thing, the whole show is FAKE, we have been fooled, check the flashing bright stars they are NOT STARS, more like LIGHT ORBs, record on video camera, a cheapie even, then zoom and slow down very very slow, they are LIGHT ORBS and some posing as constellations, sure is hard to imagine but use common sense because we have been lied to from TPTB for a long long time :(

  • @sumstuff46 What are you talking about? I bet you founded a wallet with $200 on the road and bought a telescope with it only to find the telescope is broken

  • Comment removed

  • What the hell, that must be one hell of a telescope!

  • Thanks for posting this! Love it

  • how do u find galaxies and planets using telescopes, i got one last christmas cost £116 and all ive managed to look at is the moon but its very detailed.

  • a skywatcher cannot give so deatiled images

  • this is so fakeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • this is google sky faAAAAAAaaAAAAaaaaaaaaAAAAAAg

  • amazing pics

  • i have skywatcher 114/900 on EQ1...i found 16 Messier objects.And m81 is my favorite galaxy!

  • @orangebud1212 They're not "fake fake fake".....they're long exposures.

You know nothing of the hobby.

  • Fake

  • @miloesskater noob

  • @miloesskater You must be a Democrat

  • Lmao. Like any telescope on the ground could have an image like that! lol

  • @miloesskater You dont read much on a subject before commenting do you? What a dipshit. I can see how and why we end up with the politicians that we do.

  • Epic dude I looked em up on Google Earth!

  • Oh my... Great photos! How i wish i could take them!

  • Very nice images and very god job with your camera.

What telescope do you use, i'm in the process to get one soon.

  • Nice... NGC891 is my favorite NGC! :D

  • I wish i could afford a decent telescope. This is great work.

  • didnt think swindon had such clear skies! lol Lovely pix though!

  • What kind of telescope and camera are you using? These are incredible! <3

  • Very nice job, sir, thank you.

  • So how did you manage to install the hubble in your "back garden", LOL.

  • What kind of mount were you using? A 10 inch reflector is pretty hefty.

  • I use a Skywatcher EQ6.

  • @yfrounto Wow, that's not as heavy as a mount I though you would have used. A 10 inch reflector with all of the imaging equipment is definitely very close to the mount's max capacity. You've done an excellent job imaging this well with rather modest equipment.

  • Thanks.

    Mike.

  • @AchromaticRefractor hey there, just a quick question, im thinking about getting an 8 or 10 in orion reflector dobsonian telescope, do you think i would be pretty well off with viewing galaxies and nebulas with the right mm lens and setup?

  • @Universound57 Yes, you'd be well off with either of those. Just remember to go to the darkest observing site you can, as it makes a big difference, and have patience.

  • @AchromaticRefractor sweet, also, which different mm lenses would you recommend for planetary observation and galaxies and nebulae.

  • What telescope did you use... the Hubble?? Only kidding those images are awesome what sort of exposure time allows images like that? Do you run software that adds colour?

  • @GEOPAIH1234

I take hours of 5 minute exposures with my mono camera through RED, GREEN and BLUE filters to produce a colour image.

  • Excellent, I really would like to get into astrophotography when money allows, I recently got a skymax 127 goto as a first scope and am amazed at what you can see.

  • @GEOPAIH1234

lol I agree. How in the world did this guy steal the hubble from space, take these pictures, then put it back in orbit without getting caught?!

  • Never mind, I googled mikes astroimaging and saw your setup. You have a nice setup!

  • Wow nice images. The only problem here is that you missed the Andromeda galaxy! :( But real nice images you have there. What equipment did you use?

  • Thanks, I have not shot the Andromeda galaxy because it's too big for the field of view of my set up( I cant get it all in). I have shot a globluar cluster within Andromeda but it's not on my website.

    Mike.

  • "your a real smartarse arent you".

No.... It's just that I did take these images and if you don't beleve me, you don't know much about astroimaging .

    Mike.

  • your a real smartarse arent you.. i have been looking into the sky and doing astronomy recording my findings for 7 years and i also own 5 telescopes.. so who knows what now aye?? crack up

  • "not even nasa has this good fotos"

Again, thanks for the compliment. ;-)

    Mike

  • how did you get the color? some of the galaxys you show need time laps over some days and the teliscope needs to move with the stars just to show the color. so what teliscope and setup do you have?

  • @venera13studios

    I have a 10" Newtonian and an 80mm refractor.

the mount is motorized and a second camera attached to the 80mm scope monitors a star and feeds information to the mount via a PC correcting any periodic error from the motors. This allows me to take hours of 5 minute exposures with my mono camera through RED, GREEN and BLUE filters to produce a colour image.

full details of my setup can be seen on my website

    Hope that helps.

    Mike.

  • thanks, thats a nice setup, i have an 80mm refractor too but i don't have a motorized mount, i'm looking into geting a Dobsonien reflecting teliscope so i can get photos of Venus and mars.

  • poor

  • I can tell you don't know your arse from your elbow

as far as astroimaging is concerned.

  • mate ur full of it there is no way u took these with an amature set in ur bak yard not even nasa has this good fotos.. dude ur a crack up you probably downloaded them and edited them with that fancy writing

  • These are my images shot from my back garden in swindon , It bothers me not if you think they are real or fake. I know they aer real and anyone with the slightest bit of experiance in astroimaging knows they are real.

    Mike.

  • After watching different videos of astrophotography I must apologise for my short sightedness. I never knew backygarden photographs of the night sky can be taken at such clarity. As 'compensation' I have rated 5 stars for your video.

    Sorry again,

    Chris

  • Thanks.

    Mike.

  • I used a 10" reflector, thanks for the compliment.

    Mike.

  • I don't mean to insult the video or your skills in astrophotography (I don't know a lot about astrophotography and these photos might be genuine) but...Swindon? I live in Cork, Ireland so I got pretty much the same skies as you and my skies aren't nearly as clear as you're gettin them. ESO should set up in Swindon instead of Chile because you got some perfect skies!

  • These images are good...too good for that matter. What telescope were you using to take these images? The Hubble??

  • this is from Google earth

  • I just wanna know can you see space that colorful with a telescope?(8or 10 inch)

  • You can't see colour like my images looking through a scope, you have to do long exposure imaging to catch the colour. Don't expect to see anywhere near the detail you see in my images when looking through a scope..

    Mike.

  • amazing pictures! im considering buying a telescope, but im a beginner and need reccomendations. are there any good beginner scopes? i head the orion skyquest XT6 classic dobsonian telescope is great for beginners?

  • Im looking into getting a celestron 9.25-sgt. Would I be able to see galaxies in such detail with it?

    Thanks.

  • no

only on photos you can see so much details

  • Yfrounto here sorry for not replying but for some reason when I am signed in as yfrounto my replys don't show

  • How many exposures did it take to make that image of M81? How long was each exposure? Is it possible to photograph some deep sky objects with a dobsonian mount or can you only properly photograh DSOs with an equatorial mount and tracker??

  • I don't know how long yfrounto's exposures were, but for some of the very impressive shots here there must be a large number of stacked images based on similar shots I've seen. In theory it may be possible with a Dob that has a good Alt-Az tracking system but more realistically you'll need the equatorial mount to eliminate field rotation issues on the 8-10 minute shots.

  • too bad I can't mount my 10" dob to the eqautorial mount I have, I would need a ridiculous counter weight .. lol

  • Yfrounto here again.

I have a 10" newt and an 80mm refractor on the same EQ mount ,I use 3 counter weights and an old car disc brake.

    mike.

  • Hmm I still think my equatorial mount would be too flimsy for the 10". I think if I want to really get into imaging I will buy a new Equatorial mount and a smaller Cassegrain or something. Either way nice images!

  • Sigur nu le-ai luat de la Hubble? A U shure is not some Hubble pictures?

  • Great pictures.

  • what telescope are you using and how much did it cost. i have been into astronomy for a couple of years now and think its about time i get my own telescope and see things for myself. please reply. thanks

  • I use a 10" newton and an 80mm refactor to image.

  • Very beautiful, great work. There are more than 500 billion galaxies in the known universe.

Our galaxy has more than 400 billion stars.

The solar system revolves around one of those stars.

  • I use a skywatcher 10" F4,8 reflector and a Skywatcher 80Ed refractor.

  • Omg are you serious? A 10 inch can do this? Im saving up for a 12 inch:D omg thats amazing I Have a 5.1inch at the moment. Ive only seen the ring nebula but extemely faint. Anyways great pics you got here! Also on the ngc4565 You can see another galaxy faintly in the top left! I still cant beileve it! Now for sure I am not spending a single dollar Im selling the 5,1 inch as well but keeping the barlow 2x lol great pictures!

  • Yes I am serious but remember you will not see anywhere near this detail looking through the scope, you will need to get into astrophotography

And long exposures to start to see this level of detail.

    Mike.

  • these shouldn't appear in color right?

  • That is some really cool stuff ...could u plz let me know what telesope r u using??

  • What telescope did you use and what was the exposure time? Its an amazing view. =D

  • great video... but i can go google and get some hubble space telescope images to :D

  • yes you could but I didn't, thanks though for comparing my images to that of hubble.

google mikes astroimaging to see my setup.

    mike

  • wow

    what telescope did you use?

    that is amazin

  • just the same little critters as in my BY

(i c/w/sh ould wish to have your (amazing) telescope...

4 the time being i must do with Hubble & Co. )

  • God, what's up with all of these ignorant idiots proclaiming that these images are "fake"? Ridiculous.

Nice photos BTW. Your M51 is surprisingly sharp.

  • Take a look through my images also... they could use some better processing... but i like em.

  • I dont think you are too educated.... Galaxy = VERY big millions of light years cross. american flag on the moon 24inches x 24inches. here is an experiment for you to try... put a small simple paperclip on a piece of paper, tape it to your front door. walk 50 yards away (half a football field) can you see the paper YES... and you see the PAPER clip..NO... same applies to the flag on the moon.

  • I am dumb? HA... w/e! They most certainly did walk on the moon. I think you're the type also believes in those fanatsy conspiracies about 9/11 and JFK huh? I bet you think "Loose Change" is true! Tin Foil Anyone?

  • I definitely think there is some truth to most of those "conspiracy theories". You would have to be quite narrow minded to believe everything that idiot box in your lounge tells you. Try do some research for yourself. I have a friend quite high up in the media & he even admits they totally twist a lot of stories just to get better ratings. At the end of the day its all about money, and a lot of people will do pretty much anything for it.

  • yup!

  • lol well said

  • lol

  • lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol you total fucking nut case

  • Nice shot of M51. did you use a Hydrogen Alpha filter to bring out the Ha regions?

  • Yes I did use ha( mixed 50/50 with the red google "mikes astroimaging" and go to my HX916 section to see the details.

    Mike.

  • well... i've to say sorry to you, but those pictures are really good, thats why i told you that...

    well, sorry again :D

    and great job!

  • Thanks for the apology and compliment . :- )

    Mike.

  • What telescope he using as im a astronomer and interested in finding these galaxies and by looking at it, i got a software with my telescope with previews just like that.. But hey everything is possible. Thank you

  • you'll need one with a computer to help locate and track these objects and a ccd camera to capture these beutiful images.

  • Good job!

  • Excellent pictures! Fun to read some people's comments saying the pics are fake and that you cant see that far with a telescope.. if they only knew that M31 can easily be spotted with your naked eye on a dark night, which is ~23651826181452000000km (seems like ppl prefer KM for some reason :P) away.. and some people have even seen M81, which is ~113528765670969600000km (12.000.000 ly) away ;)

  • I can assure you these images were taken in the back garden by my husband!

  • Thanks for sharing this wonderful images. I have a 5.3 inch reflector and just started with astronomy would my telescope allow me to see some of this objects? even in a faint way? hecdaca from NC USA

  • yep, but they will be dim and fuzzy without a ccd camera.

  • granted starry nights is software... however.. i get images like this through my telescope when i do astrophotography.

  • Very well done, God bless

Almost 550 billion galaxies in the known universe. The nearest galaxy to us is between 2.5-3 million lightyears away.

  • 550 BILLION!! And people STILL think we're alone, "sigh".

  • @RobinJLyons777 and some people still believe we are the only ones living in it. Absurd.

  • Definitely NOT a fake.

Just buy a good telescope and a good camera and this is what your photos look like.

  • realy so your saying that you can se 28382400000000000000km with a telescope, becaus thats how far it is to the next galaxy

  • light travels all that distance to us. The image you see in a scope is the image of the object that many years ago. example- M31 is 2.9 million light years away. so the image you see through a telescope...that light traveled 2.9 million years to your eye. you are essentially looking into the past when you look up at the stars and galaxies.

  • mr.bhudda, you got a point.

  • does look fake?

  • looks fake to me

  • you would need a telescope the size of 200 miles just to try to see the flag on the moon. Galaxy's about 300 million light years(i.e. it takes over 100 years for the photons (light) to reach our eyes or CCD imagers

  • its cause there is no flag on the moon LOL

  • where to buy telescopes in swindon?

  • Not even the Hubble has the resolution to see the flags or even the descent stages of the landers on the moon. It is designed to view distant objects. The nearest galaxy to earth is about 80,000 light years but galaxies are huge. ours is an estimated 200,000 light years across. You can see galaxies at huge distances because of their massive size.

  • Very nice! I was looking in to buying a celestron starhopper 8 do you know anything about that?

  • Wow may i ask what type of telescope you own?
