  • funny how middle-class real wages was highest for 30 years after WW2 and the new deal. now we're back to the disparity in wealth found in the gilded era. way to go, conservative sheep. you're fucking us all from your naiveness.

  • How the fuck do you pay off debt without taxation, I do understand what it is like to be consumed by taxes... I am Canadian, and we pay 13% on every dollar fucken spent and approximately the same for dollars made. HOWEVER, we have beautifully paved/maintained infrastructure, amazing health care, great education systems, the most amazing government assistance systems (for those who take from it), and huge incentives from govenrment when it comes to entrpreneurship and job creation

  • Mitt is a droid presidential candidate, created by the very corporations that the other candidates are critisizing. Romney is an asset that is preserved and protected by huge corporatations that have invested in him. Do not get confused, he does not really know what he is talking about when he is on his own. And if you ask me, those who are investing in Romney, hire better advisors, bcz the ones he currently has suck the big one!

  • That newt guy is well spoken... almost as if he's a professional speaker.

  • Don't let that hypocrite fool you.

  • Mitt Romney @ 1:12 how can you deny he IS our next President... he has the presence already! Go Mitt!!

  • She gave Ron a great opportunity here, to lay out an optimistic vision of the country, like Reagan's "Morning in America", but Ron just responded with the minutia about the debt. There's a definite place for that, but Ron needs to learn how to wax somewhat poetically about the beauty of a free society and talk about the big picture. A missed opportunity here : /

  • @needstoregister you are right on... all is just negative negative. We need HOPE and BELIEF in AMERICA. Romney 2012!

  • @godsavetheusa2012 We need more positivity, but I already have a weather vane.

  • You won't get shit from Quebec, newt, you asshole.

  • Wtf? Who's voting for Mitt Romney? People get real, Ron Paul for President!

  • or hunstman,... hes not that bad...

  • I will vote for Ron Paul, my second choice is Obama.

  • Why is Perry free to interject whenever he pleases?

  • Perry has no idea how to debate. Just interjects a short speech even when not directed at or really asked a question.

  • @HedonistUnashamed actually that's exactly how debates should be, i'm no Rick Perry supporter but in order to have an intelligent debate you need to actually debate, not just self promote.

  • Santorum did so well in Iowa because he spent so much of his money and time campaigning there instead of elsewhere. I'm eager to see how well he doesn't do when the other primaries/caucuses come up.

  • Perry, if you want us to use our own natural resources of energy, why can't the Iranians use their own natural resources (oil) without so much interference from the West?

  • Comment removed

  • @upsetDavid quite a lot actually. If you have money invested. I'm middle class and I do.

  • Rockafeller or Goldwater?

    Ford or Reagan?

    Bush(41) or Reagan?

    Romney or Gingrich?

the choice is MUCH simpler than we choose to realize, do we settle for the Massechusetts Moderate who is 'more electable' OR do we stand on principle and vote for BOLD CONSERVATIVE IDEAS?

it takes more than a pretty smile to turn this country around.

who has the most knowledge and experience to effect CONSERVATIVE change in the country?

    NEWT!

    JOIN US WITH NEWT IN 2012 ! ! !

  • Guys are right at 9:45 Rick Perry interrupts is funny could not stop laughing. Sounds so stupid when he says Dr. Paul.

  • No one trust about ABC any more.!! Is a waste time!

ABC news been bought out and sold on the american people.

They cut Ron Paul the last minute when he wanted to respond.

  • Ron Paul 0212

  • From watching these debates and reading people's comments, it seems like a LOT more people are supporting Ron Paul than the polls are letting on..... Getting annoyed with the stinking media and all the mediators.

  • Criminal records????? hoho;)

  • Ron Paul 2012.

  • Jobs, Economy, Immigration, repeat.

  • Comment removed

  • 5:30 Gingrich picking up another paycheck from Fannie Mae

  • Why didnt they ask mitt about his failed healthcare plan?

  • @cocoinfinity1 Simple. Mitt is their choice. The media wants him, and thus, they are going to make him look as good as he can, and asking about his failed health care would make people ask more questions. The media has a huge hold on these elections. A lot of people for example think that Ron Paul is crazy, but where does that come from? If you listen to Paul, he is the ONLY true Constitutionalist.

  • 8:10 to see ron

  • diane airhead alzheimers down syndrome sawyer

  • Funny that the first reason Romney gives for us paying taxes is to fund our Military, not the education of our children - shows where the GOP priorities are. And by "fund our Military" he means sending them to war not taking care of them after, that's why many of our veterans are on the streets homeless. Our kids are poorly educated, there are no jobs, the infrastructure is shit, and the list goes on. What a shame! Really, why are we paying any taxes at all?

  • Romney and Paul sound good. Perry's dimwit response to paul was almost laughable. Obviously Paul won't get elected, and it's questionable if he even wants to be president. But he sure is getting a good message across.

  • *RON PAUL 2012*

  • Don't Republicans understand that John Hunstman is the only candidate running for the Republican Nominee that could be Obama. He would attract democratic and republican voters. Romney just repeats Hunstman's ideas and people give him all of the credit. I can safely say that John Hunstman is the only Republican I would even consider voting for over Obama.

  • OMG When Rick Perry started talking after Ron Paul gave an honest, INTELLIGENT REALISTIC answer I just started laughing...I mean he is so full of generic information. Ron Paul isn't going to sugarcoat it. America is in bad shape, quit trying to pry on power instead of the actual pity that exists and you will see why we need an honest, straightforward candidate like Ron Paul.

  • George is such a joke.

  • No Santorum, your manufacturing has been devasted because of policies like NAFTA and slave labour in China which America has allowed their cheap gods to flood your market. And the truth is you won't change a thing if President. You will leave NAFTA and import from China and watch more American jobs go down the toilet!

  • Men like Newt and Rick (really would not put Mitt or Jon in this category necessarily) can't wait to get into office to use legalized insider trading to make him and his buddy's rich and powerful same with any one supporting such disgusting corruption. So insider trading and a government controlled economy or Ron Paul. Should we go the way of Mao and Jintao or are we going to elect Ron Paul?

  • I'd love for Mitt to explain what role government has in the economy with out sounding just like Obama. If he could do that I'd be impressed.. not enough to vote for him but still impressed.

  • RON PAUL 2012! End the FED, End the Wars, & Bring Back the Gold Standard!

  • @Seanbradlym <"... Bring Back the Gold Standard!"

Great!!! And 16 minutes later, when all the gold has left our country, what next?

  • GEORGE BUSH IS NOW RICK PERRY STRAIGHT UP DUMBASS

  • "we all have records" lol that just sounded funny as the final word in this video.

  • Does anyone else hear that light drumming in the background at about 3:43-4:00? It's maddening.

  • @TheFriedLemons I think that is the microphone suppressing equipment that tries to keep the volume at the same level , so the empty spots, the volume goes up fast, and when the sound is received, the sound is compressed, so the overall sound is not so natural and appears choppy . There is a whoosh of the background sound level coming in between words spoken , At least you have good hearing.

  • Huntsman is the Republican Party's only hope of beating Obama.

  • @KayBeeEee1983

Stop spamming huntsman on every video.

  • Diane Sawyer sounds perpetually as if she's running an infomercial.

  • TROLOLOLOL 1:43 I wonder what happens when average a number like 5 with 20,000,000,000 XDDD Obviously not exact numbers

  • these assholes give me a headache

  • RON PAUL IS THE TRUTH!

  • Gingrich....he's the biggest blow hard with the worst record of them all....He's Pro-Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie...and no, America First ! To the scrap pile with him.

  • Perry....well, enough said !

  • Romney, although not who I chose to support is the only other candidate that I would even consider....The only candidate who stands strictly for ""America"" is Ron Paul. He follows the Constitution Strictly and is Pro-Restoration !

  • Santorum was slammed when called out on his record....and his ditch effort to explain it away failed miserably....he just kept avoiding the direct question. He's clearly Big Government/Pro take the money and run.

  • Huntsman is so Pro-China it's scarry.....our Fore Fathers said commerce with all, buddy buddy with none. Yet Huntsman has what seems to be more of a love for China than America.

  • When Sanatoruim comes on, its hit the "mute" button time...

  • min 4:09 "I woulda ripped OPEN the tax code"

Ripped it open? Why? To get the prize inside? I´m sure he meant ripped it "apart". Too much of the Chinese there Huntsey...tsk tsk tsk.

  • Ron Paul wasn´t allowed to retort after the commercial break... remember Satantorium had really layed into Paul before the commercial break.

  • @RideMyF150 i know itsbullsht

  • Rick Perry should mention all those FREE-ENERGY DEVICES that is suppressed by US Government and the GREEDY, UNETHICAL, and POWER HUNGRY CORPORATIONS, instead of oil.

  • Ron Paul for freedom..... from Sweden

  • 25% top tax rate would be great, as long as that included increasing capital gains and dividend taxes. Of course Romney doesn't support a raise on capital gains taxes. That is where his millions of dollars that he is paying a 15% tax rate on comes from.

  • Dr. Ron kicks butt. Voting for anyone else is begging to be on the same path that we've been following. How well has that been working? On another note, I predict Rick Perry WILL drop out of the race on 11 Jan after his horrible New Hampshire results.

  • Thank you Ron Paul for telling the US People the truth...

  • These debates are only as good as the "moderators". What a crappy line of questioning by this group

  • Thank you, Ron Paul, for being the only redeeming factor in these debates.

  • Hunstman 2012!

  • Tax The Oil Companies. Tax The Rich.

The Rich want to buy and sell Congress for their own financial gain.

  • Ron Paul read the NDAA he was then heard saying..

Man this aint freedom!! then he threw it on the ground!

  • There is no time limit for this months "Non-Romney" Rick Santorum.....just an observation.

  • America keeps seeing the BS this media is pulling and just how fake it really is.

  • This media panel asking the questions is the problem. They keep asking the same things over and over, week after week. We need not only a new government, we need a new media.

  • @fliegeroh yah.. ive really notice this also

  • @fliegeroh I was hoping Sawyer would ask Perry why he owns stocks in a pornography company. But that was too much, huh?

  • @fliegeroh one in the same

  • Ron Paul and no UNCONSTITUTIONAL PRIVATE FEDERAL BANK. 2012!

  • @fumfers1 hes climbing.

  • How did any of these dip shits (except ron paul) get to where they are now. This shows how moronic we are as American people. Wake up!

  • Can someone put a sock in Rick Santorum's mouth! I can't stand that guy! He's soooooo full of shit!

  • Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. We also need to stop (right now) wasteful handout programs like medicare, social security, unemployment,, etc. and lower the minimum wage to $2/hr so we can compete with China. I will work with Romney,Paul Ryan and my other republican colleagues and take immediate action on these proposals. God bless the GOP!

  • Cant wait until Ron's people give us comments back

  • RON PAUL IS A BAAAAUUUUUWWWWUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • I liked santorum better when he was silent and in the corner

  • WTF rick Perry, Chill out bro, like eh snorted a rail and came outta no where.. DR. PAUL listen up

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • Ron Paul for President, love from Flanders

  • Why not tax the Oil Companies with their record profits?

    Why not tax the rich?

  • The better question is: why not unleash captialism?

Expropriating (taking) money from one group and giving it to others is completely immoral. We punish our successful and then wonder why we get idiots like the Occupods.

Mixed economies result in pressure groups all fighting one another for handouts. Capitalism solves that problem.

  • btw Mox, what happened to your long videos? could the whole debate not be made into 1 video?

  • Why am I not hearing more from RON PAUL!

  • How much money does Mitt think middle class Americans make per year on dividends? $500 per year. If you cut taxes on those from 15% to 0%, you cutting dividends and capital gains taxes primarily serves the upper class. Middle class Americans are going save what 50 - $75 in taxes? How about cutting taxes on earned income and raising taxes on capital gains and dividends so investors pay as much in taxes as workers.

  • Just to let you know, in this country we have a Progressive Tax system. That means the more you make, the Higher Rate you pay. Therefore, thy already pay more in taxes. As a matter of fact 47% of all taxpayers pay NO INCOME TAXES, and in fact get TAX MONEY BACK!!!

  • @MrChrisdube That only applies to EARNED income. Or wages. It does not apply to capital gains and income from dividends. That rate is 15%. Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, and others making billions in dividends are paying a 15% tax rate. Mitt Romney has a net worth over $250 million. He is making millions a year, but has no earned income. The reason he won't show his taxes is because he is paying 15% on millions.

  • @MrChrisdube Also, the reason 47% of all taxpayers are not paying income tax any more is because wages were driven down by the trade policy we have pursued over the past 25 years, which has allowed for the top 400 people in the US to now have more wealth than the bottom 150 million. The numbers also include those who are unemployed, working part time, and people who are retired and living off social security.

  • Wow Romney gets a word in on everything but most of the other candidates have to fight for air time. Does the main stream media want Romney as the candidate? I think it's entirely evident.

  • Anyone notice the discussion went over most of the republican audiences' head because it didn't involved Jack Bauer and how fun torturing is?

Also, anyone notice that Ron Paul's answer showed an extreme knowledge of economics and what causes bubbles and crashes, while all the other candidates just blew colorful, happy smoke up our asses, like "America can do anything because it is so special and unique", and "we just need to go back to work again"?

  • More like relief for what's left of middle America... (yes, I'm aware there are two America's but have to play along).

  • The only one that seems honest is Jon Huntsman! Ron Paul kinda discouraged me this debate

  • @ctsfinestjon Deflect often?

  • @ctsfinestjon Huntsman is the only one that has anything resembling sound policy. As an independent I would vote for Huntsman. If any of these other clowns gets the nomination, I'm voting for Obama.

  • You are outstanding at "answering" issues I never raised. Yes, dividends get taxed at a max of 15% correct. (Capital Gains get taxed at a max of 28% unless the law has changed.) What YOU fail to point out, is that in order to get this 15% dividend tax rate, you must use money that HAS ALREADY BEEN TAXED PREVIOUSLY! As you know, or should know anyway, is that earnings are taxed at the corporate level THEN taxed to the dividend recipient, as well. Two bites at the same apple.

  • @MrChrisdube Dividends aren't really double taxed since over 60% of profitable corporations don't pay any taxes because of deductions in our crazy tax law. Long term Capital gains are maxed at 15% under the Bush tax cuts of 2003 which were extended by Obama. The capital gains tax "raise" everyone is talking about is moving the long term capital gains tax rate back to 20% where it was under Clinton. Reagan set it a 28% and nobody is talking about moving it back that high.

  • That's a problem of our tax law. Typically, when someone gets a dividend, that distribution is taxed corporately then taxed to the individual when he gets the div.. This is true of all C corps (unless there is some kind of special rule that they received due to influence. The most notorious is GE which pays none at all).

It sounds more to me like you are confusing dividends with returns of capital. Generally speaking, corps get taxed THEN div recipient gt taxed as well.

  • GE is just the most notorius because of the links to Obama. There are several that are profitable and pay no taxes, in fact, there are many that make a profit and get a rebate. Check into Pepco. Their average tax rate for 2008 - 2010 was -57.6%. In 2010 it was -118% getting 270 million in deductions off 229 million in earnings allowing them to get a rebate equal to 118% of what they should have paid in. I say take corporate tax to 0, and tax it all on the back end.

  • @MrChrisdube Just wondering, but since you don't think there should be taxation on dividends and capital gains from the rise in stock prices, do you feel that shareholders should be liable for damages and debts for corporations if they are sued for more than the corporation has or it goes bankrupt. The original reason for the double taxation was as a balance to the limited liability of shareholders of corporations as opposed to the liability other business owners face.

  • what i find interesting is that this video has 310 views.. the top comment has 49 votes and is related to Ron Paul. It is apparent to me that the majority of Ron Paul's supporters are the people who stay informed, actually watch these debates, and are genuinely interested in this Primary. I wager to say that most of the people supporting the other candidates are getting their information straight from Fox and CNN.

  • Oh man Dr. Paul was swinging tonight! I love it! He woke up! Finally hes sticking it to these other phonies!

  • @DjBobbyInLosAngeles He's always been awake, but before his 3rd place finish he didn't GET to speak much. There was one debate where his campaign TIMED his allotment: They gave him 80 something seconds TOTAL.

  • @MqCorey I know what you mean. And I agree> But you have to admit he did come switning tonight. And he was more tough and firm. He didnt mumble away into garble world..i love Ron Paul....but lets admi tit...sometimes hes not bashing the other phony gop people as much as he could then...

  • @MqCorey TRUTH!

  • Paul has too much appeal and the mainstream media is terrified of him. Every time he opens his mouth he speaks in a language that everyone can understand and can easily win over the undecided. The media knows this.

  • 4:37 Commentator cut into Jon Huntsman response....

  • is Rick Perry there to provide comic relief? i think he is funny

  • @SuperHtwe Yes!

  • Diane Sawyer looks like Ivan Drago

  • I want Gov. Perry to take a drug test.

  • Ron Paul got hosed on his response to santorums ramblings

  • Romney=Bush

    We all see it.

  • RON PAUL WON'T WIN. People U all KNOW that. They diss him 2 MUCH. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT ROMNEY will win & then perhaps he will choose RON PAUL, MICHELE BACHMAN OR NEWT GRINGRICH AS HIS VICE PRESIDENT. OBAMA IS GOING 2 STILL BE PRESIDENT 4 THE NEXT 4 YRS NO MATTER WHAT. EVEN THOUGH WE DON'T WANT HIM, 2, BUT FACE THE FACTS. OBAMA IS THE "BEST" PUPPET THEY EVER HAD. THE VOTING PROCESS IS ALL RIGGED. Voting is a WASTE of time, gasoline & energy.

  • @HighPriestessYoli

and it doesn't mater, we are screwed.

  • @HighPriestessYoli

you are right highpriestessyoli. why would the banks want to unseat a good puppet they have right now in power. however they are careful not to have their puppet enter into a race with a non-puppet like Ron Paul. if the tree falls the wrong way and RP pulls off a win, it will be curtains down on their Federal Reserve money printing racket.

  • I think you will find that Japan the third largest economy in the world has the worlds highest corporate tax. Rick Santorum lies again.

  • Notice how everybody watching these debates on youtube is SUPPORTING RON PAUL?! Doesn't that say something? FFS. Put this man in the White House.

  • Ron Paul 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!! From AUSTRALIA

  • ANYONE notice about the ten minute mark, perry talks about 330 years worth of energy underneath our land,....then he says we gotta open up that land so we can no longer be held hostage by compa- oh i mean countries that r hostile to the u.s..watch it i swear

  • Mitt Romney was a joke in 2008 and still is.

  • If Ron Paul doesn't win, has anyone here ever seen the movie Idiocracy? Yeah that's your future.

    Ron Paul 2012!!

  • This is a joke, they keep letting Romney have the first word and the last. And yet they dont let Ron Paul get in a single word. Let the Man speak ! RON PAUL 2012! ! ! ! !

  • @EmiRSpAHiC1 Look at previous debates.. for some reason the media doesn't want to cover Ron Paul.. There are so many interviews where they cut him off. I think someone is trying to push Ron Paul out of the picture.

  • @EmiRSpAHiC1 so true

  • RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT, KING, LOVE FROM SWEDEN

  • That the general American likes any other candidate other than Ron Paul really shows what fluoride in the water, and a shocking education they are getting do. Just my observation from AUS.

  • If gov't CAN contribute to growth alongside the private sector, WHY THE HELL NOT!? This idea that ONLY the private sector can grow the economy by itself is nonsense. A strong, efficient public sector is also necessary.

  • Well, 4 if you consider the fact that the official recession started in Dec. 2007.

  • And the agency I envision WILL create growth in many other ways and will operate, in some ways, as a 'business' that contributes to the econ. The old model of simply relying on businesses to pick up their feet and get moving again just DOESN'T WORK. It's obsolete. We've been WAITING FOR 3 YEARS!

  • Who says ONLY the private sector must create or can create jobs??? Why CAN'T gov't help out in a real way? There's never been proven any kind of ridiculous "crowd out" effect, for starters. And even so, WHO CARES. So some companies may not be able to hire as many talented workers b/c "gov't is eating them all up." In the end, the economy WINS (to some extent) because a) workers get high-paying jobs where they get money in their pockets to spend, perhaps even AT those particular corporations

  • I mean, do we REALLY have to just WAIT for corporations to finally "see the light" and restore 'good jobs' to Americans again and restore that Golden Age that once was? I think not. There's a better way.

Why must we ONLY rely on businesses and the idiotic shareholder model for jobs? Why CAN'T there be some kind of failsafe gov't agency or instant job provider for immediate income at every level? Sure, it may cost some money, but it'll be worth it. It's a bold, new, innovative step.

  • Is this AMERICA'S economy or the corporations' economy?

  • SOMEONE's gotta pick up the slack, esp. for these skiddish-ass companies that NEVER CALL BACK for workers who send dozens of resumes to lots of companies. Who have RIDICULOUSLY HIGH STANDARDS for who they'll even interview... When workers need REAL jobs RIGHT NOW

We can't just WAIT for businesses to create jobs when the gov't can do it right now. Romney and the others would have you WAIT until a) the economy started to pick up again and b) Businesses were "less uncertain". No thanks, Mitt.

  • No, I'm sorry, I don't think big business should rule our fucking people, Governor. I don't think we should just "give businesses all these incentives so they 'create jobs'", which is code for "shit in one hand and hope in the other." That's all supply-side economics EVER was. There's no REAL action taking place on the part of representatives or workers, just more for business and less for the rest of us. When business won't create jobs, I'm afraid to say, gov't MUST.
