By the way, i have the CASIO-WK3800, and with proper drawbarsettings it sounds really good, in my opinion comparable to the XK1, and with careful programming of the leslie speeds acceleration it give really nice sounds, and with a fraction of the cost of a Hammond.
The drawbars when they get up into the6-9 range are too shrill on the Casio though. It makes for less authentic playing. Many clones have the problem of shrill drawbars in the higher 4-5. Nord C1-C2 and many of the latter model Hammons (made in last 8-10 years) are pretty good with the drawbar tones all the way around. B4 is good too, I have that and Akoustik Piano.
It´s amazing to see that you are just not a terrific player, but also a music "technician"! That´s almost a must these days, with all the hightech instrument´s we have today.
if you have to include sound card, speakers, power amp it gets up there....this is more for my studio not a live setting...would be cheaper to get the Hammond XK series
That keyboard with sliders and controller is just WAY too cool!! Sounds perfect actually. Note that it lacks the "background clicking sounds" of the old keys on a Hammond lol.
where can I get onec of these??
