Thanks for a fantastic tutorial! I have always wanted to teach my childen piano and played and sang for my son from birth. I wish I had seen your video sooner - every time I asked about lessons, I was told his hands were too small and he needed to move fingers independently - how wrong they were. These are great ideas we can do at home. parents are the best teachers for little ones.
I love your story telling ideas, as he loves stories and I think this will really hold his interest,
Thanks So much for the advice. I've been trying to find a way to bring enthusiasm in music for kids instead of just going straight to technical mode. I'm going to try these tips out.
Two weeks ago after watching this video I showed my 22 months old daughter Betty the bears and birds on my piano. Today she visited a little children group at the local music school. She told the teacher all about it. My daughter was already addicted to the black and white keys before she was one year old. But this is the fun stuff to keep her going. Thanks a lot for that Andrew!

Yeah, I have to second the cute lesson part. There's also a lot of wisdom in there - fun is the basis of practicing, of perfection, of passion. This is a great lesson - I wish I'd seen this when I was a piano teacher!

This comment is about yout tutorial on Fur Elise - I thought you are most likely to be reading the latest comments.
Thanks a lot for it. I knew the notes but I could never get it to come together properly. It always sounded like 3 or 4 tunes stitched together.
I put it down to leaving it a bit too late to learn (>40). However your mini tutorial on hand movements made a real difference.
Cheers.

I like the improved beginning music. Nice job with the lessons, Lypur.
By the way, I have a question. How can I guide my progress?
I feel as if I know chords and somewhat positioning, and a few songs that I like, but I want to actually mark my progress.
What steps can I do to ensure that I don't overwhelm myself with learning beginning parts of songs and then never learning the rest of them?
*Have had that experience twice but I'm finishing off the last parts of two songs.
