I'm sorry, but an Obama/Edwards ticket, while electorally strong, would be an incredibly weak team in actuality. Edwards doesn't offset any of Obama's weaknesses - rather, he accentuates them. Barack Obama needs somebody who can compensate for his lack of experience, and Edwards doesn't do that in the slightest. I'd like a VP with some foreign policy experience - Joe Biden, maybe?

It's a show of sportsmanship. In a race this intense there needs to be healing between the two sides and don't think Hillary's going to be out of the picture.
Obama needs Hillary supporters in November to win. That's a simple fact, they make up almost half of Dems. If they either don't come out to vote or vote Republican 'cause they're angry at Obama then we're screwed.
Almost every other candidate for the democratic nomination has now endorsed Obama. Only Hillary is left of the key pledges to add her endorsement to his campaign. I got to see this live! It was amazing seeing Edwards speak and think "Wow, he's a great speaker," then Obama goes up there and I thought "Wow, he's an even better speaker." I really hope it becomes Obama/Edwards '08.

judging by his expressions, i think edwards' endorsement looks strictly political...yikes... hopefully the democrats can overcome a split party... edwards' endorsement alone won't help the overshadowing problem going on (for obama) in the rust belt states. obama's got to do a lot of work to do over there.

John Edwards, thanks for the endorsement, but not a good idea for VP, Edward's supporters will vote for Obama with or without him as VP. Obama needs someone like Bill Richardson who appeals to a broader base and has more experience than Edwards. Hillary was a formidable opponent (albeit not deserving)which speaks volumes about Obama.

There at the end of John Edward's speech, they held up their hands while standing together and looked like a Obama/Edwards ticket??? Who knows who would be best. I'm sure Obama knows who he will be asking but I still wonder. Hillary is acting really nice lately but I think it's too litle, too late.

Another international interested party for Obama ... I have been a right-winger my whole life because I feel the health of a nation is in economy, not healthcare. But for the first time in my life I'm pro-democrat, John McCain is not a true republican, he does not embody conservative ideology. I got to see this live! It was amazing seeing Edwards speak and think "Wow, he's a great speaker," then Obama goes up there and I thought "Wow, he's an even better speaker." I really hope it becomes Obama/Edwards '08.

Obama has a very eye pleasing agenda but lets be serious here.... he has very little experience in the government. Oh, not to mention, hillary clintong ( wife of bill clinton ) is his opponent. Lets look at Bill clintons reforms on the economy... he put the economy in the best shape it had been in a while. Obama is not hated by me, and im not a clinton supporter, but if i had to choose it would be clinton because she has more experience and she will do more for the middle class families.

I just spent a few months in Argentina and the general feeling was the same. The world needs to see the diversity of USA. They want to see that it is possible for us to elect someone different from the regime of the past years. Not just Bush but also Clinton.

After 8 years of bush, the world hates america more now then ever before. The problem is the Government does not represent the american people. I sincerely hope you do indeed have a plan to change a system that is very much embedded or in bed with the corporations.
