hahaha. this thing is freaking cool. i just got it on my phone and forced my friend to get it lol. now i can track em 24/7 lol. i had no idea what it was since when i got my phone my company told me i had unlimited loopt . i was like umm ok... then i downloaded it i was like WOW! best thing ever recomended a million %.

So does Loopt work if the other person hasn't opened their app all dad? I know that iPhones don't allow background apps running so wouldn't there location info be really outdated?

Yeah that's exactly why its useless on the iPhone. Otherwise its pretty cool. Hopefully the 3,0 update will add backgrounding, or some kind of push thing... where you can send GPS data back to the server periodically when its in your pocket.

The fact of the matter is, it ONLY refreshes your GPS location data to the server when you open it. This is an iPhone issue only, it works fine on Blackberry and other phones. rkstevens is right, its is kind of misleading.
