i think the AR platform is pretty ambidextrous i'm a predominant lefty shot and i like how i can reach up with my right hand to press the mag release with my thumb pull out the mag and put it back in a pouch and then when the mag is in i can lock the bolt with my left pointer finger with relative ease. the only bad thing is how the casing eject. some of them hit my face sometimes which can be a major distraction
nice system, i have the same hand rail. good video, i'm researching these options along with a friend and he is a left handed shooter. good video it answered most of our concerns.
The reason left handed shooters shoot the standard right handed guns is because in order to have a left handed gun, that left handed person has to pay out the a-hole for it! lol
I qualified with a M-16 A1 in 85 at Ft Jackson. I shot 39 out of 40 on the qual course of fire. I would of gone 40 for 40 if not for getting a piece of hot brass down my rolled down sleve on my right suport arm. If I were a right handed shooter this would not of been a problem. It stuck to my elbow and left a blister. Even after that, I prefer R hand eject. I bought a Stag and find it alien to shoot. I've been programed to shoot right handed.
The technology is still decades off. The only people expecting us to have handheld energy based weapons by this time were the silly futurists from the 50's. Hell, even battery technology isn't up to snuff to power a laser weapon the size of a modern rifle. The military hasn't been rushing to field energy weapons because modern small arms are still doing a relatively good job, and for a cheap price. Logistics would be an absolute nightmare.
Yeah, KAC SR-15's are some damn fine rifles and I've spent a lot of time running one through its paces. They are pricey, however spec'ing out another rifle with similar features comes out to about the same price. However, I wouldn't really consider them "left handed" in that the upper is still geared towards a right handed shooter. The ambi lower is nice, though.
I've tried shooting left handed (I myself am right handed), and it's tough. Pretty cool to try though, and I'm sure it's nice for you lefties out there.
tell me please does somebody have problems viewing the videos on somebody channel using google chrome? i cant press pause, full screeen or anything else for more than week now.please reply
@tukarak Youtube has updated its system a couple times in the lst year, see if you can Download an update to your flashplayer, or just use a different browser. One of the updates they had to redo because it wasn't compatable with anything.
@MolonLabe84 i've put countless thousands of rounds through my stag reloads and factory not ONE jam or stove pipe no malfunctions at all. (i've told everyone this on the subject and i have never jinxed myself either)
@MolonLabe84 but it is still a bad version of a rifle the lower half is still right handed and the ejection port cover flips up and can get in the way of any optics you add
@OptimusTrajan agree in a way (too much!!). Be nice if KAC makes their lowers buy able stripped or assembled. Get rid of my RRA lower in a heartbeat lol
Being a lefty and having to grow up in a righty world, I have learned to adapt. I can do everything righty's can do left or right handed... makes me better. lefty's rule!!!!
Cool vid. I too am lefty and shoot right handed AR's..Couple questions_who makes the ambi charging handle? Also curious as to what type of lower, is it Knights?
I'm left handed as well, I currently own a Colt SP6920, what kind of charging handle are you using in this video?

I've yet to see a left-handed AR that is built to the same quality as BCM, LMT, Novekse, etc.

@opmike343 Knight's Armament makes a fully ambidextrous model; SR15 I think it's called. Extremely nice. Pricey, though.

How do you hit that light when you're shooting support side? Do you have to reach over the light itself to get the tape switch?

As a left handed shooter I prefer a standard AR set up simply because of training; I want to keep a standard battery of arms for a particular rifle.

stag arms is the best left hand AR hands down.
