I think chibi is doing his thing and expressing hilmself and that's grea tFOR HIM but in fact it's boring to watch him. It feels like he would win everything because of the simple fact that if you say "this guy is boring" people would say " you hate him because he's handicaped"

he was not just doing robotics if you understand dance control you can clearly see that he is botting ,hitting, speed control, waving and playing with the music ... you are dancing and musicality and foundation is EVERYTHING

Yeah popping wasn't really part of hip-hop, but what's starting to become more common are all-styles battles where you have popping vs hip-hop vs house vs voguing...and the list goes on. As far as prize money goes, $300 is good for local venues. I thought it was cheap because I'm coming from Nashville to the jam...then again, that's not to far away.

Oh yeah of course. Not too many bboys would go to the jam (I assume because of how low the prize money would be). The one thing that would always kinda upset me was when they would say 'hip-hop', but most of everybody that competed were poppers. In my opinion, I feel that if the competition is for hip-hop, then popping shouldn't be allowed.

I agree with you on both points. Many people make excuses for not dancing. Being able to move like that with scoliosis is an inspiration, in which Chibi is to lots of people.

The ATL Jam has its flaws just like any other jam. The person who organized it is still learning how to host jams and was doing them for a project. Of course it's not the best jam that I've been to, but I do like to go because it normally has a good vibe and I like to support him...he's a cool guy.

well...being from the A really doesn't matter on if you know the mixes or not. if you know the songs and/or the music, then you're in the clear...that's what all-styles battles are all about even if the music is a bit wack at times. besides, the dj normally plays either bboy or house music and...well he's one of those that you'll have to listen to more than once.

Just so people know here's how the All Styles Battle goes down:

I play a lot of different genres of music during the battles. The point of the battles is to test how well the dancer can rock the beat even if it's not in their comfort zone. If you're a house dancer, don't expect house, lockers shouldn't expect funk, poppers shouldn't expect electro, etc. Just be prepared to dance to whatever gets played.

G-Nerd gassed fool hands down, theres no other style who has footwork like memphis, im sorry there just isnt. G-Nerds precise movements are what won for me. I dont see how Chibi could have won he had no footwork and his popping was just ok...Mad respect to both though :D

I agree with you on that. The only other style that can compete in footwork that I know of is c-walking. But in this match, I don't know how G could've lost that.
