This is a fantastic performance! My SINGLE criticism is please ask your cameraman to stay still! Better still replace him with a tripod lol. Believe me, your performance is dramatic enough without all the crazy camera angles!

It's good playing but there's no signs of this being a tango at any point. And the Bb to C slide sounds kinda cheesy. Do the hammer-ons. Much more effective.

@raziel7777 I have to agree to disagree as well, to condense Tango to guitar is an interpretation at best, and Pizzolla is not considered a traditional tango composer to begin with. With that said, I can listen to this for hours regardless what it's labeled. It's a great piece and of the post I find this one the best thus far. Great job.

I'm not saying I'm some master at playing tango, but anyone who's listened to good players play tango's in their day would know that this doesn't have that rhythmic feel that drives tangos. Listen to Piazzolla's band and then listen to this. Extreme difference in pulse. People always get to defensive on youtube. It was an honest suggestion.

@UncleIrv @UncleIrv Wow. Clever response. As far as I'm concerned, rhythms in this recording are inaccurate when looking at score, which I've played many times before & is front of me right now. Mr Lucarelli is taking some (significant) artistic liberties with phrasing & rubato & in this case I feel it's detrimental as it's changed the rhythm dramatically.

Very nice interpretation of this piece. I'm currently working on learning this on guitar. I'm a huge fan of Astor Piazzolla's compositions and I'm learning accordion now, as well.

Check out Cacho Tirao's version, to me, the benchmark, as he was a true virtuoso and member of Piazzolla's quintet.
