muscle confusion is a load of shit? Kid do you have any idea how your body works? Your body will ALWAYS get used to a certain routine after a certain amount of time. ANY body builder or even DOCTOR for that matter will state this. This is how your body works, its how the body has always worked.
If you merely increase your weights after a certain amount of time, i guarantee you will still see a plateau effect if u keep doing the same exact workout every day. This is common sense kid. Its the reason why the workout changes every phase, as changing your workout often i far more effective than doing the same workout every day.
i think this is bullshit... no program can give you this shit... its just like working out IF YOU REALLY WANT IT YOU CAN GET IT workout every day a different muscle every day and alternate 2 days of rest minimum and i personally fit in abs every 2 days no excuses but thats me forget this but thats my opinion =)
@pipersgreat I'd have to disagree. I used to be required to train hard for hockey. I was in the gym 3 hours a day in the off seasons. I find this work out to be more rewarding than the programs I went through back in the day; and if you go 150%, it's just as tough. Reason being, 1) there is more variety beyond "working a different muscle out every day"; I've recently discovered I quite enjoy yoga.
@pipersgreat 2) When you aren't a 19 year old kid with nothing better to do, it's very easy to say "i'll go to the gym tomorrow" then go through the whole ordeal after work. 3) as dilligent as I was back then, I can easily start slacking off, take minutes in between sets, etc. This program combines circuit training, with cross training, plyo's, and other different styles of training. If you are dilligent enough to train properly, and not take breaks, kudo's to you.
@pipersgreat But from my perspective, this is as good as having a personal trainer in my home, and there is absolutely no excuse when all you have to do is throw a dvd in for 1h-1h30m. So when factoring all that in, paying $45+ a month for a gym membership I likely won't take advantage of every day, or paying $120 for a kick in the ass the rest of my life, I'll choose the latter.

I justed started P90X this week, it's the real deal. There are plenty of videos of heavy people who have had success, it may take more than one 90 day session but it can work for everyone. You can all poke fun at terms like muscle confusion or the buzz phrases or call foul at parts of the infomercial but p90x works .Infact any program that comes with a nutritional guide and makes you excercise will give you results.
P90x helps motivate people not willing or wanting to go to a gym or just wanting a more relaxed environment alone/with a partner to workout at home. Not everyone will be ripped in 1 round (90days) but this is a program to do again or move onto another.
@zenchix I definetly agree with you, a nutritional program and proper exercise/resistance training will get you results. But 90 days is a load of crap. Everyone has muscles, if you are overweight, you just need to cut weight off by doing cardio and consume 25-30 grams of protein per meal to insure you do not lose muscle while doing your cardio, and your muscles will start to appear under the fat.
Creating muscle takes years, and years. NOT 90 days.

Infact, 90 days is enough for someone to shape their body in such a way that some of these people do. building muscle is all science and dedication

I suggest you get an education and learn that muscle can not be built in 90 days. The maximum amount of muscle an average adult can make is 5-10 pounds per year with proper nutrition and proper excercise.
If you are overweight and you lose 20 pounds in a month or two, and you begin seeing muscle, it isn't because you built muscle, its because you lost fat and you can now see it.

Scientifically, it is not possible to gain significant muscle mass, regardless of who you are, in 90 days. You can certainly gain strength though.
Either those people are lying, or they are teenagers who are at a stage in their life where they would normally gain 10 pounds without excercise, and by excercising they gain 10-20 pounds of muscle in a year.

Although the only downside to P90X is that after the 90 days are over, it doesn't provide any future goals or plans. Its emphasis is on short term goals, and if you are working out hoping to achieve muscle gain in 90 days, you are going to be disappointed. Muscle growth for an adult is 5-10 pounds per year (spread out through out the entire body). Losing fat on the other hand is much faster, and will give the look of 'toned' muscles.

You can all poke fun at terms like muscle confusion or the buzz phrases or call foul at parts of the infomercial but p90x works .Infact any program that comes with a nutritional guide and makes you excercise will give you results.
P90x helps motivate people not willing or wanting to go to a gym or just wanting a more relaxed environment alone/with a partner to workout at home. Not everyone will be ripped in 1 round (90days) but this is a program to do again or move onto another.

@zenchix I definetly agree with you, a nutritional program and proper exercise/resistance training will get you results. But 90 days is a load of crap. Everyone has muscles, if you are overweight, you just need to cut weight off by doing cardio and consume 25-30 grams of protein per meal to insure you do not lose muscle while doing your cardio, and your muscles will start to appear under the fat.
Creating muscle takes years, and years. NOT 90 days.

@ProphecyRJ actually...creating muscle takes about 6 weeks. when people go to the gym for a week or so and they feel that their muscles are getting big, thats just their neurological response getting better. Infact, 90 days is enough for someone to shape their body in such a way that some of these people do. building muscle is all science and dedication

I suggest you get an education and learn that muscle can not be built in 90 days. The maximum amount of muscle an average adult can make is 5-10 pounds per year with proper nutrition and proper excercise.
If you are overweight and you lose 20 pounds in a month or two, and you begin seeing muscle, it isn't because you built muscle, its because you lost fat and you can now see it.
P90X is just a workout plan (for 100$ lol?)

But i cant explain those skinny people who grew muscles in 90 days. Muscle confusion?

Scientifically, it is not possible to gain significant muscle mass, regardless of who you are, in 90 days. You can certainly gain strength though.
Either those people are lying, or they are teenagers who are at a stage in their life where they would normally gain 10 pounds without excercise, and by excercising they gain 10-20 pounds of muscle in a year.

Although the only downside to P90X is that after the 90 days are over, it doesn't provide any future goals or plans. Its emphasis is on short term goals, and if you are working out hoping to achieve muscle gain in 90 days, you are going to be disappointed. Muscle growth for an adult is 5-10 pounds per year (spread out through out the entire body). Losing fat on the other hand is much faster, and will give the look of 'toned' muscles.

Sure, a 250 pound person may have to go through 2 or 3 rounds to get down to 15% body fat, but they get it done.
