Im crying when I hear this. Because when I was 6, my bestfriend died *she was 6 too* We sang this song at the funeral, but only in the Norwegian version.. :'/ I miss her <'3 *im 17 now*

When I was growing up in the 60's and learning music at schoool I was taught that this was a Negro Spiritual Song from the time of the Slaves not about muslims or christians as they were asking the Lord to "Come By Here" in their misery

I Think the person was singing the best they could and was sincere. They say (in the Christian faith) that when you "sing" your prayers and also sing or pray in groups that it is very pleasing to God. I , myself, think this person did a great jo. Don't forget he is singing alone and with no back up instruments.
