Yup agreed it is pretty much the same figure but since day 1 i regret not getting 2 of these guys, simply for the reason it is way too hard to decide on how to pose this guy, looks fantastic with his mask, and just as good without, was willing to pay stupid amounts of money to get another one of these but now i can save myself a shed load of cash, so great thanks alot HotToys :D you have made one pred head very very happy

I have a question, I have never bought from sideshow and I want to pre order the new classic predator do I have to pay the full price for the figure or just a small deposit just like some sellers on ebay. hope some one can answer my question

HAHA! Yeah, the Predator from the movie Predator died back in 1987, so the Predator held captive in Predators would have been a different similar Predator nearly 30 years later. They will be similar but certainly not the same and definitely not a re-issue. We are still happy to have the original and plan to get this one. -Wendy :)

Glad hot toys did this as I was this close to getting a original pred from eBay and it would of cost me 500+ thank god I didn't do it. If I have one pred this will be it. When do you think pre orders will take place? Still waiting for batman/Bruce wayne but eBay is killing us with those 500 price tags even goodshipped has jumped on with a 700 price tag. Come on really!!!!

Haha!! Great pics mate, I dont think I have ever wanted a Predator figure as much as I want this. Still not sure about the movie likeness on the face, nice evil expression though. Id like to think it is the best we have seen but wont be able to tell until we have it in person. However it is still better than the original and should surpass NECA's 19 inchers for quality, likeness and detail. Thanks for showing again Dino!

@Roscoe0583 Yeah those Neca figures are really nice, and the sculpts looks amazing. I think you can tell the quality difference close up though. Also like you, I'm still not sure if the head shape is still that movie accurate? Still looks the best version out there though
