@sweeetpollly Thanks.. These are very lightweight.. The clay can be purchased in Most hobby stores for around $2.00 US or so, depending of if there is a sale.. There is a "lightweight" version of the clay if you really want them to be super lite.. If going to use them on minis, you will want to leave them a little flatter than I made them so your book will close and you won't break them. :) I think they are a nice touch to artwork of any kind especially since I made them. :) TFW Do come again
Linda, these are so cute. I seen you using them in your other work, but just now watched how you make them! It looks super easy. Is the polymer clay expensive? Why did you mix the clays together? Do you have to do that? In order to make these little cuties, or any other item, what supplies do I need to get started? TFS! Cheryl
@cher1292 Thanks. Don't have to mix, I just did for Strength in case I wanted to make them into Jewelry. They can break if pushed to much. tools: Clay, Rolling pin (or an old glass) Cookie cutter, Stamp, baking tray, oven, then something to paint them with) I think that is the basic stuff. I updated my blog with more details so If you need more info please let me know! have a blessed day!
@TheCrafterChick it is easier than it looks and you don't need a lot of tools. you can use a glass to roll out the clay and then bake it in your oven on aluminum foil, just make sure you do a good cleaning in your oven before you bake food again. Feel free to ask any questions, Ill be glad to help.
You have given me a lot of new ideas! Thanks!
