@blackcomet1 hey bro. i got this when i went to Thailand in december. i havent seen this on normal sites like hlj.com or ishop2go.com etc. I saw a couple on ebay but at high prices.

I don't think I will get this. I already have an EVA 01 statue, so this would serve the same function. I'd want something with more pose and play value.

I'm still figuring out what can be done re painting soft rubber so looking on with great interest as to your follow-up with the MAC entry. Great review. I really had no idea of what was inside this PG. (wot! no meat?). A genuine surprise for me from start to finish. Totally different from any PG that came afterwards. @2Old4Toys Firstly many thanks for your tweet. This is more than highly appreciated :) Regradless of the flaws i actually did like the build and finished product. Painting the rubber is an issue. I dont know what i can use apart from a flexible clear coat toe nsure things dont start cracking and the finish is still good. Ill keep you updated on this. Thanks again

FYI the black piece for the chest is actually the standard and was what the unit had for the entire show. It serves as armor for the jewel because those jewels are pretty much the Angel's hearts. If it's destroyed, it's over. You do get to see it a couple of times in the show though, and probably because it's so vital they decided to add it to the kit ;)

Thanks for this really great review, very detailed and informative, recommended viewing for anyone considering getting the kit, or Eva fans in general.

I've got the Rebuild of Evangelion Eva 1 and 2 kits last year and they are really fantastic, well worth checking out. I'm hopeful for some new releases this year considering Evangelion 3 is due.

@tc012009 thanks bro. I almost got the rebuild kit EVA 1 in Thailand. i hope we get a MG Eva kit too but i dont know if that would be something Bandai wants to do with bnoth the new Animes now.

a great and honest review Ace! I still believe that this is a great kit since day#1, when you bought it in Thailand. You're right about the PVC issues. All I can say is it makes "P"arts "V"ery "C"omplicated. hahaha. But I still love the kit :) Congrats for being the 1st reviewer of this PG :)

I think if the PVC suit was thinner and have a little give, like a rubber band, it'd be amazing! Or like a matte black flexible cloth or something?
