Great! I remember there were some secrete upgrade for some robots - such as the shadow that could shoot a freezing ball, and the default robot who could perform a "shadow" leap... good times :)
by the way, its been a while since i played. how do you do special moves like the back kick, and the 'prowl' (where it jumps like a jaguar at the oponent)?
hey, i downloaded the game to my computer, and the DOS emulator. It's been a long time since i could play it......but it goes way too fast. the emulator says press F11 or F12 to change speed, but nothing happens.......someone help i'm about ready to throw my computer at the wall
60 foot? the game said 90...plus there is a game speed option to speed the game up. in fact, the default setting is at the fastest point which is by far way to fast to play.
No offense to the Elam Bros and DE, but OMF2097 is far superior to OMF Battlegrounds despite the technical advancements. Primarily because the gameplay is both simple and spectacular at the same time! And yes, being Freeware... Definitely grab a copy along with an emulator! (say DOSBox)

@Elite4CE360 It's actually "Ctrl + F11/F12". You can also change the speed in the "Gameplay" menu in-game.

Actually... the Nova is available on the single/two player mode, through a secret. Giving those two 10 extra combinations to the 100 previous ones.

Only fighting game I ever liked, primarily because of the addictive tournament mode which you rightly focus on in this excellent video.
