FMV game development desroyed the 3DO, they cost millions to film thanks to the salaries of professional actors, also the FMV games like 'Daedalus' and 'Night Trap' only had very limited interactivity so they weren't fun at all. Thankfully FMV games died out after about 1995.

This was "supposedly" a high end system back then yet it had mostly very crappy quality FMV games and the ones that were real games weren't very good with the exception of Need For Speed, Super Street Fighter 2 and 2 or 3 more...it was ridiculous how expensive it was considering its power even for 1993 and the controllers were outdated with only 3 face buttons.

I coulda swore that ps3 was going to have the same fate, as once every 4-5 years an overly ambitious and over-priced console comes around and gets pwned... maybe the only reason it DIDNT happen to sony was their good reputation and the fact there isnt 17 other consoles out like in 1995...

Samurai Shodown for the 3DO is the only good non-Neo Geo version of the game.

psx version is much better,u could even choose arranged and original soundtrack.

@ultrakupra: I've got the PSX version (fencing pack). The graphics are identical to the 3DO version, with the exception of the fact that there are more colors for costumes to choose from. I do not see any arrange mode sound and the sound actually sounds worse on the PSX version to me.
