  • When your Giro Pneumo pads turn to dust call 800-456-2355 . Tell them your size and they will send you new pads at no charge. I found out about this about a year ago on some blog site and it worked. The customer sevice was great. I think the number still works.

  • @jaysonness

    how about a different giro?

  • @dahgutone I don't know about other giro helmets but I would try it if I were you.

  • @jaysonness Thanks for the tip! I called today, and sure enough, just gave my helmet size and mailing address, and new pads are on the way. Excellent!

  • YOUR A SHIT REVIEWER ,, I'LL BET 99% OF PEOPLE LOOK AT THESE VIDEOS HOPING TO SEE WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE ON , AND GUESS WHAT ANOTHER FUCKTARD WHO TELLS US FUCK ALL THAT WE DIDNT KNOW ALLREADY , AND DOESNT SHOW YOU WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ON A HEAD ,, FUCK YOU YOURE A GOON

  • I like the bike helmets that look more like skate helmets. A couple of brands that I like include bern and triple 8. You can see them at zoobom com

  • I havent worn a helmet for 13yrs, but am thinking about buying one.

My head is around 63cm in circumference (like dinosaurs I have a small brain), and is the same shape as a loaf of bread - narrow frontally, but deep front to back (like the Alien in Ridley Scotts movie "Alien"), so its rectangular in shape. I guess I should go to my local bike shop and try some on, but any advice on which manufacturers produce rectangular, large helmets would be greatfully recieved!

  • Most entry helmets from all the different brands nowadays are one size fits all. They have a lot of adjustment and dial right in.

  • giro recommends replacing your helmet after 3 years max as the foam starts to deteriorate and the effectiveness of the helmet itself is compromised.

  • a.k.a: they built a really nice helmet, and now they need a reason to get you to buy them constantly, because you'll never need to buy another.

To what extent is it compromised? Tool.

  • My Pneumo is also 7 years old. It's still working as it was when I got it from Performance Bike back in 2001. The pads are going ot be replaced later today but there's nothing I can do about the fading paint. I will probably use this for at least 3 or 4 more years. I don't see any reason why I should replace it. Paid $140 for it, but it has served its purpose way past its claimed lifespan of 3 years.

  • very helpful review. thanks!
