Hi, Do you have any latest videos of your parrot. If yes then Please share them. I am really intrested to know what he has learned from you. To be honest, from your first video only I belive you have done lot of progress. cheers mate :)
Why didn't you buy a parrot from pet store or breeder? People who buy these birds keep the capture-business going on. You love your bird but how about the tens of flock mates who didn't make it but died in the prosess? Are they happy now?
@sannita2007 so u gotta contact the government to prevent this from happening , but we should do what ever we can to save the rest of them who arrived alive and up for sale ... what ur saying is to leave them to death too , and the business will still going on , BTW i bought my bird from a pet store for sure , what u think i went to Cameroon and bought it from the African hunter guy ? lol
Very, very selfish. You speak of birds like property not a life. How would you feel if someone captured you and took you from all your family and everything you know and put you in a little box and shipped you to be sold for profit. They did that a long time ago to slaves. These birds are smart enough to know what's happening to them. I'm so sad for these birds and for you also for wanting to own something that only belongs to mature.
@0smitty well .. now he's eating the best food , talking , getting the best med care .. i think that's not available in the jungle ..
i know they were captured , but if you didn't get these birds and let them in the greedy sellers rooms they will really die cuz of depressing .. so to do the best for this case is to give him the good care .. that's what i did , i think ur too good to leave an innocent animal like this without giving him/her a good home
@Metal5Dark I just got an IRN too on Thursday - he was handfed but is so scared if anyone comes near him he will fly away - hope he will learn to trust us.

@wolfmoonct i think he was .. why u think its very wrong to get wild caught , i heard some ppl saying the wild caught are more healthy than the farms once ..
@M0Jalaal because your taking a wild bird who has never known captivity and making him try to be tame. Also, the numbers of wild parrots in the world are dropping due to people capturing them to be pets. Most wild caught greys will end up plucking their feathers from stress. If you have ever seen how they are boxed and shipped.. they are packed into crates like sardines and a good number of them die before they even leave port. I'm sorry, but I cannot condone capturing wild parrots for pets
@wolfmoonct yeah but i saw alot of tamed parrots now flying and back to there owners ! no cages or captivity .. i think they have a better life than the African jungles one .. what do u think ?
@M0Jalaal wild caught parrots are taken from their families, smuggled and many die in the process. Imagine the psychological trauma they must go through. if someone loves parrots they should only buy a domestically raised bird with a closed band on its leg which has a code for the breeder and the bird's hatch date..
@dharmabird67 i agreed with you in that they suffered to be caughed to shipped until they reach the market , but the thing we should do is preventing the hunters from doing that , not from not buying the rest of them and let them have more hard times.
i think buying them and treated them well is really helpful to them more than leaving them to be scared to death with the dealers and buy tamed once.
Its right, its nice you took the time to calm him but why the hell would you buy a wild bird? Its stoking the fire.
