Becoming a Muslim is first a choice: Islam means "willful submission (to God)". But if the person wants to plot against the Islamic state or kill Muslims, the punishment will be appropriate to the crime.

God had to clothe him by killing an animal, this is a precurser of the sacrifice HE would make for us clothing us not in 'animal blood' but HIS blood, HIS righteousness. I think the conflict between faith & atheism tend 2 ignore the common ground that both believe the universe didn't just happen accidentally, but created upon a purposeful design. & it's the source of this design that believers refer 2 as God. So maybe the major difference between faith & atheism is the role of prayers then; one believes its effectiveness, while the other doesn't.
