great band.... both shows were poor.... at the very bottom of my list of great live shows.... maybe they should stay south of the boarder if they don't care to put on a good show ... and not take away fans cameras... every concert has the same thing... no pictures... but they went to far
then again when they came to saskatoon.. and the front doors of the area had buckets of cameras the security took from all the fucking fans.. and the loser himself complaining about pictures being taken... no chairs on the floor.. just nazi security walking around kicking people out for taking pictures... my ex got kicked out on the last song.. and like a fool i followed her out... and miss lateralus .... epic song...

I bet the problem with the Saskatoon concert you mentioned was probably more the venue policy than the band's, they are often shitty about that stuff. Same with the security.

if you notice in the parabol/a video, mantra comes first. there's an alternate track listing for lateralus. take the fibonacci numbers and put them either before or after the non-fibonacci numbers. side one: 1 the grudge 2 eon blue 3 the patient 5 schism 8 ticks and leeches 13 faaip side two.. 4 mantra 6,7 parabol/parabola 9 lateralus 10,11,12 d/r/t. it's too perfect to be an accident.
Obvious statement but yeah, TOOL does that a lot. Even in live shows they play soft intermissions into their next song. Some are meant to be there like this song and others just soft rhythms.

Tool is the only band presently making music as an art form, between their lyrically driven songs backed with mesmerizing instrumentals and the videos conclude the full package. Sure some bands have one of the three but you'd be hard pressed to find a band that focuses and succeeds on each of the categories.
It isn't about over analyzing, you either get it, or you do not and you obvious do not but that is ok - differences make the world go around or something like that.

Love this video and alex grey's work. I had a trip one time almost exactly like this. The whitle light that shoots from the head came a little more out of the left-center of the top of the head rather than from the exact center. Not sure if that wass subjective or not.
Possibly because you are naturally right-sided (brain wise) and your pineal was simply illustrating the point in a way your altered consciousness could relate to more easily. Nice vision, few people get that style or epiphany.
The best way I know is to ask yourself do you prefer literal or abstract forms of expression. I.E.: reading a book vs. watching a film. Literal people (like myself) prefer reading a book whereas "right brained" people prefer abstract expressions where their mind fills in the blanks. fantastic job. did you use the cd slip to make that? however you did it it was fitting for the song, cosmic awareness... spiritual awakening, life death and the universe. best album of all time!
To all you non Tool people, i highly recommend this album "Lateralus". It is truly a spiritual experience.

I agree with rounder, these guys are living legends, and somehow, with every new album, they are better than the previous. If you like tool, maynard also signs for A Perfect Circle, some good tunes by them as well.

Love this video and alex grey's work. I had a trip one time almost exactly like this. The whitle light that shoots from the head came a little more out of the left-center of the top of the head rather than from the exact center. Not sure if that wass subjective or not.

Possibly because you are naturally right-sided (brain wise) and your pineal was simply illustrating the point in a way your altered consciousness could relate to more easily. Nice vision, few people get that style or epiphany.

The best way I know is to ask yourself do you prefer literal or abstract forms of expression. I.E.: reading a book vs. watching a film. Literal people (like myself) prefer reading a book whereas "right brained" people prefer abstract expressions where their mind fills in the blanks. I'm also very introverted ergo my propensity for independent communication versus open forums.

with a name like 'subwoofer87' you probably have trouble even understanding what the song is about, this song is a song unto itself, and to say it sucks says a lot about your intelligence.
Smoke some DMT and then tell us all it sucks. I bet you couldnt.

i have to agree that if one or the other never existed, its counterpart could also not exist. However, I have no problem listening to this version all by itself. The lighter and deeper intro version is rly what makes the better part of the entire set.
