for 25 years i've paid tribute to black flag/henry rollins with my hair - several times in my life, during the course of a major "life journey" (like going to university/trip/new city/etc) i begin with a shaved head and end with long hair - love doing that even into my 40s

Henry looked pretty rad with the long hair. Wonder what made him cut it and never grow it back.

He didn't cut it from about 1983 until Ginn ended the band in 1986. Then he shaved his head and never grew it back after that

Henry always liked short hair better. The only reason he grew his hair long was to piss off the "punk-as-fuck" kids who thought long hair was for hippies/metalheads.

exactly that's why I think even though I like all of Flag's singers, Henry's attitude towards the scene was perfect for later Flag
