@onmyway21 Sorry to say, but I'm not on the east coast anymore. I am on the west coast near Seattle, WA now. I do plan on moving back to the NE soon though. If you see the sequel to this video, there's a lot more mountains and crazy trails out here on the west coast. I also have a new 4-Door, but I swapped all the mods from the green jeep to my new blue jeep. Videos will be up soon...just gotta remember to run the camera, lol.
@BrettDez LOL That is always something to remember! high five on the new4door! I love my Sahara.don't think I will ever give it up :) As for ECU there really is nothing to do out here even off road lol. Thanks alot for the reply!
Brettdez i really need ur advice ,,i was yesterday at jeep ,and i saw a 2010 used wrangler ,although its used but its like brand new ,12,200 km ..anyway my question is ,do u recommend me to buy a wrangler or not ?i really like how it looks ,but i dont really know about its mechanics and stuff ..does it have disadvantages ? i will really appreciate it if u reply .. thx man
we have an 1989 wrangler laredo 4.0L i just love it and i cant wait to be 18 to drive it wranglers are cars that you can sell when you bay theme you just stick with theme
@BrettDez love the vid dude. Question, how is the newer model wrangler's? Cause I have an 06 and like in the one year gap those newer one's have completely changed.
I miss my wrangler :( had a 93 yj nd fell asleep while drivin about 2 nd a half months ago. drifted off the left side of the road, barely missed the corner of a bridge, dove 50 ft. off nd front flipped thru a river nd landed on my top in between the 2 branches of the river. laid there for 6 hours then woke up, took like 30 mins to get outta my seatbelt. crawled out with a broken neck nd nerve damage causin my left arm to not wrk right. crossed the river then climbed up the embankment to get help
Very nice setup, great video & good music to match.... I have a 2008 JK Saraha Unlimited 4door, turning 111,000 miles this week. Its my primary commuter and we drive a minimum of 110miles a day. Been great. We need a second vehicle and while more MPG would be great seriously considering another JK. What bumper setup did you go with? Thanks -
@AlfredDaSauce The Wrangler and Rubicon are the same vehicle. Rubicon is only a trim package for the Wrangler that adds extra hardware and components that do, indeed, make it better offroad, but its not necessary to have fun offroad.
@thunderbolt1947 That would be called a snorkel, allows the engine to continue breathing air while the vehicle is in deep water, much like a snorkel a human uses in water.
@corfroo ya dude the manuals are way more fun but with the torque converter that the new wranglers have the autos actually crawl slightly better, atleast thats with the rubicon. Whatever you get tho im sure ull love your jeep! =)
that is one sweet jeep man! so are the new jks off road worthy enough that you can just take it out n not worry about tearin up an almost brand new 20000+ dollar vehicle?? everyone talks down the new jks but all the videos ive seen there are stock jks doing stuff that a yj or tj would need some mods to do it... i love the new jks!!
OMG! Awesome awesome awesome video! Love the jeep like it's my own lol. I love the back grounds and the terrain you went through. You have one of a kind jeep there! Nice video and NOICE JEEP! :D
Well, some are from Rausch and LI, others go down as far as South Carolina. And the sequel video then is out in Washington state, hopefully to head down to Oregon a little, then Cali(Rubicon Trail) and MOAB when I get the time.
I have a stick shift, and I prefer manual transmission. However, automatics are still good. They are easier on the trail for sure. I just have more fun with a stick shift.
Well, I love my manual and I don't have any issues, but I know that an automatic would make life easier sometimes, but like I said, I have more fun with the stick shift.
How reliable are the transmissions on these things? My mom's buying one, and I'm scoping it out. I thought about buying one but I got the Blazer Zr2 instead.
wow this is awesome you're the man. friend has a "sahara" and it's incredible. we only had problem once when we got stuck in the mud. gret video keep it real ! btw what's the name of the song?
I completely agree not to mention that you have more control of your vehicle. I have had my Jeep for six years and it has never let me down. I love Jeeps and most of all Wranglers and Rubicons.
both thumbs up mate very good video it looks like you had lots of fun there im so jelous ha ha im wanting to drive to africa and do a safri in a couple of years when the kids are old enough just looking for the write 4x4 for the job
No water got inside. And the engine should be fine as long as you keep up the maintenance. Some of the footage is from before I had a snorkel, now that I have a snorkel it is much safer.
what car is better for off road this vehicle or the fj cruiser i have a jeep wrangler rubicon 2008 stock... and my friend have fj cruiser and his car is fatest than my rubicon but the rubicon is better for off road... your opinion please.
With 100% certainty, you take a stock rubicon against the stock offroad version of the FJ and the Jeep will win offroad. However, both are capable vehicles and when modified they both do GREAT.
In your 07 wrangler they used used brake assist right? Land rover has used that since the launch of the discovery. and they have use the air suspension since their old classic models. Not sayin' jeeps suck or anything but I think rover has the upper edge in engineering. again all opinion and not tryin' to make you think otherwise. But it's a whatever. btw your jeep is pretty sweet i looked up reviews and it's a nice machine.
Ya i wasn't too sure about them on my rover. but we got about a foot and a half of snow where i live. and punched it the traction controll light whent on and my front end didn't move more than an inch or two in ether direction. i'm more of a believer now. I still cant decide whether i like lockers or traction controll better.
Without hesitation I disable traction control, traction control is good for onroad only in my opinion, I speciffically turn it off when I am on a trail. Lockers are far better for trail conditions...
Yeah, those sort of "traction control" devices are for people that can't drive, lol.
I had ABS go off one day in the rain because one tire locked on a slick man-hole cover ... I went further into the intersection than I would have had my Vette not had that European pussy device on it trying to drive for me.
That sort of stuff is made for your typical idiot minivan driver ... or Rover ... whatever. ;)
I had to turn mine off...the lift was tricking the system into braking when braking wasn't needed. Great vid. Love to see a fellow jeeper not afraid of getting dirty.
Ussually the traction control activating like that is an indication that your steering wheel isn't centered. Maybe try recentering your steering wheel to fix that issue, it's a common post-lift problem that is ussually easily fixed.
Well, it functions completely normally with my 3.5" lift and every other lifted Jeep I know of after all the proper settings are correct. Though you are correct, you cannot powerslide with it on. In 4-Hi you can hold down ESP Off until you hear a chime to disable it temporarily for fun. I disable it in sand as it only hurts you by killing your power/momentum on beaches or the dunes.
Yeah I love Jeeps. I had an 00 wrangler and now have an 02 wrangler. We are now kinda limited in the jeeps we can get. I will never get anything 07 and above unless the 4.0 I-6 are back in them. Not touching the jeeps with a 3.8 V-6 minivan engine in it. Nice looking ride though, when the motor goes out look for for a 4.0 I-6.
by time the motor goes out in the 3.8 there WONT be any 4.0s in the world left. The engine they put into the jeep is a perfectly good engine, there is no other engine on the market that is still being made, modern and as simple as the one they chose. They chose it for being small powerful and simplistic.
I say this owning a YJ with the 4.0 and a JK with the 3.8 Its a plenty good motor.
since you are by seattle, check out the Pacific NorthWest 4-Wheel-Drive Association (PNW4WDA) for some racing and some trail jeeping

The person who took the pictures did a great job. Very nice Wranglers. I have a 95 Wrangler YJ. I love it

Is that the "Blair Witch" house at 3:24? What forest are you in? You're in PA right?

Some of the footage/pics are in PA. But, this is a compilation from trails along the East Coast, SC to NY. And yeah, those ruins were creepy.
