I wouldn't be too quick to say it's over. The Great depression stock market decline lasted 4 years before it found a bottom. The U.S. stock market fell and then rallied over 25% three different times only to fall further down the next time. If history is any indicator of things to come there is a good chance this is one of those rallies and that the market will fall further. If gold goes to 2000 an oz by year's end (as Schiff predicts) then it's a good investment, if it takes 25 yrs then it's not.

But how much could you expect to get per oz selling that way?

I wouldn't be too quick to say it's over. The Great depression stock market decline lasted 4 years before it found a bottom. The U.S. stock market fell and then rallied over 25% three different times only to fall further down the next time. If history is any indicator of things to come there is a good chance this is one of those rallies and that the market will fall further. He makes good points about manufacturing etc. If this is to be the "greatest recovery" whats going to drive it?

If gold goes to 2000 an oz by year's end (as Schiff predicts) then it's a good investment, if it takes 25 yrs then it's not.
As far as I can see Celente is a snake-oil salesman ... let him have the guts to make actual predictions to tell us specific info on where the price of gold will be or the DOW will be based on his so-called "trends".

I just don't understand...HOW can hundreds of the most highly educated, trained, and experienced Economists in the world ALL be wrong, but Gerald is right, when they're all looking at the same data.
Also, Gerald talks about others "Selling" something, and that somehow affects their thinking and forecasts...Well, isn't Gerald selling something? His Newsletter and Consulting Services?
The whole thing just makes no sense to me.

Search here on Youtube for videos titled 'Peter Schiff was Right." You will Schiff, the one guy accurately forcasting the recent economic events being laughed at and ridiculed by the majority of economic "experts" who were DEAD wrong. Sure Gerald is selling is newsletter, but the others are trying to get you to invest with them.

Gerald Celente makes a business out of being right, no matter the political ideology. Economists are largely political creatures who rise and fall by catering to what the politicians want to hear. Yes, everyone has an angle, and you are right to determine where they are coming from. But if Gerald Celente is wrong, he is out of business. If politicians are wrong, they just spin it to their advantage.

They're saying although things are rough right now, we will eventually turn this around and come out just fine in the end.
They are not Politicians, or on government payrolls.

becuz big private financials and Politicos have fused together and have the same agenda, getting you to put your money in their hands so the politicos can get reelected and the financials could make trillions off your money. nobody likes pessimism, Both groups have very high incentive to parrot and cheerlead all things that buttress their interests, I.E. the economy will be great etc etc etc.
