i WANT THIS THIS PERVERS MASS MURDER BURNING ON A HILL OF WOOD! BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY PUNISHMENT WHICH WOULD BE NEARLY ADEQUATE FOR SUCH A PERVERS PIECE OF SHIT! THEN THE USA IS SO ARROGANT TO TELL US THAT WE SHOULD SHAVE FOR THE NEXT HUNDERED GENERATIONS FOR HOLOCAUST? I SHIT ON HOLOCAUST IF USA IS ALLOWED TO BE PROUD OF MURDERING 2 JAPANESE CITIES! HOPE USA BECOME A LOT 11 SEPTEMBER BECAUSE IT DESERVE TERROR! THE 11 SEP IS A JUSTICE DAY TO CELEBRATE A DAY WHICH MAKE WORLD MORE FAIR
@nicki452 Does typing in capital letters make you feel powerful? The A-Bomb was an unfortunate measure to end a brutal war, but the Axis powers killed ten fold as many innocent lives then the Allies did.
In regards to War, Bush is definitely not soft...going into Iraq and getting rid of Saddam and his two evil sons while most people in the world was against that at the time, took either a lot of courage...or an extreme lack of thinking. I tend to favor the latter in my own "little" opinion that doesn't count for two cents to anyone.
I won't argue over what you just said...but keep in mind Hurricane Katrina as well...it's not just about Iraq...although I blame Mayor Nagin of New Orleans and the female Governor of Louisiana at that time...Bush could have done a little more than just relaxing on his ranch while supposedly getting briefed on the situation a few days before. Bush is sort of an "action" after it happens kind of President. He should have done something beforehand...and propped up FEMA a good while back before.
You are speaking of the age old American argument which is "What is the role of Federal Government in America". That has been the basis of nearly every major American political argument from the time of Washington to Obama and beyond. Of course Katrina will always be Bush's biggest blimish in history I believe. But the question is should it be? Personally I believe in State's Rights above Federal Intrusion and think Negan & the gov. of Louisiana deserve the lion's share of the blame.
I agree! Bush was unfairly blamed for Katrina. The mayor of New Orleans & the governor of LA are the ones that dropped the ball! Bush should've asserted that point much more forcefully than he did!
Maybe part of being a good leader is taking it on the chin rather you deserve it or not at times? The more he argued the more he would have been attacked by the media and let's face it Bush was not a good speach maker and had the numbers against him there. In a case like that the federal government should be the supporting cast behind local and state government, not the lead charicter. But thats just my opinion and probably most of the founding father's as well.
You're right about Bush's oratory skills & the media bias against him! You also understand the Constitution better than many, The Federal government has to be asked by the states to paly a role in these situations. The governor of LA didn't make that request until it was too late. I think that fact was overlooked due to the emotional impact of the tragedy & people were looking to blame someone. Bush definitely took it on the chin!
You and I agree on the role of Federal government as many would agree with us but the fact is there is people out there who would disagree. This is a debate that can be traced back to the abortion issue, the civil rights movement, prohibition, the slavery issue and even to the times of Washington and Jefferson. Our founding fathers argued bitterly amongst one another over the role of State vs. Federal government. Maybe it is the never ending argument of American government? States Rights for me
He didn't, because he was hugely at fault for not addressing the problem. If you want to carry out your "ball drop" metaphor, Bush just watched the ball as it bounced nearby, and then he turned his back to it.
what if we are in a future war with those two countries? will we think Truman is still great.
Historical perspective is great...if things turn out alright in the long run. But shouldn't things improve in the long run? He should be judged based upon
his approval at the current time. Otherwise you give an excuse for Bush to keep doing the same.
I don't usually reply, but I don't agree with you on how Truman was terrible. We look at the past and reflect our reality and see how we are able to live in a society today. Don't say "IF" just say what is happening now. As of it today, North Korea is suffering greatly from poverty and lack of resources. Just like any other communist country, containment policy soon succumb them without nuclear bomb.
Moreover, China would not go aggressive against the United States. Because without US vast market, China would not be here today. Also Russia, Iran, and Venezula are being far more aggresive with oil money on their back. So your assumption of warfare with North Korea and China is way off. Stop imagining and live what is given and think how it was derived from the history like how Truman was able to stop McArthur from WW3. I respect both figures, but
as far as the decision was concerned at that time, I have to say Truman was very wise despite of the popularity. Because everyone thinks the one way does not hold the truth in big picture. You just have an extreme opinion against this guy without any sense of reality. That makes you a negligent moron.
I'm a negligent moron? At least I know who Truman is. Most people of the younger generation don't know who he is or if they agree with what he did or not. If you think of me as a moron, that's fine. Either way, I was trying to make more of a point about our current President Bush. In 1000 years a tourist from Alabama will not be thinking about what is going on today, he will be banging the stewardess on his trip to Mars.
Bush is counting on people to judge him in the future rather than now.
I'm assuming you are south korean and have a predisposition in your opinions of what I think. That is fine.I agree with you, but maybe you have a bias against what I said because you have Korean relatives living in Korea? Anyway, the Presidency of our current President will be judged in the future. Let historians look at history, the economy, the wasted 8 years of trashing the environment and global warming, and the complete lack of concern for the "average" guy and gal out there who struggle.
Harry Truman wasn't a human - he's anti, anti-man!
He's lis'nin' 2 the "slotsiP xeS" (while dancin' crazy pogo dance!...) xDD

plow through north korea and defeat china?

In the history books rarely are leaders judged by their public opinion in their own times.
