I just bought a used 2002 Aztek last spring and took it on a roadtrip this summer. I can say it was the most comfortable ride I have ever had on a long roadtrip. Also, I am going to be driving it the snow the next few days as we just had about 8 inches of snow fall. So I am going to be looking forward to seeing how it handles. I don't have as many features, but I could add them. My Mom and sister have driven it and so want to steal it from me. All in all a great vehicle I recommend!
i have the same colour but no sun roof, it has a hood visor, but it came with steeles instead of aluminum rims, my a/c controls are different. basically mines the base i bought mine used
If Homer Simpson were real this is the car he'd design, it is just so ugly but with so many features, some of which we don't need. And that's why I love it
@Zygotepro that's exactly what I thought when watching this, after the guy said focus groups were consulted to come up with all the features it should have. Reminded me of the Simpsons episode where Homer designed that goofy car.

The cooler center console is a genius idea. Aztek's are pretty nice. Definitely a unique looking SUV. The only thing I don't like is the lack of a gas lid cover. Having the filler cap exposed like that is just asking for someone to open your gas cap and steal it, or dump sugar into your tank.

I know everyone bashes the Aztek for its looks but I like it. It's an incredibly practical vehicle and I would rather have this than most SUVs or crossovers. With the AWD version and winter tires it should be quite capable in snow too to make it up those mountains for snowboarding trips.
I don't see why the plastic thing is cosmetically unappealing. Personally, I'd rather have factory-gray plastic get scratched or muddy than the paint! :)

One of my good friends use to drive a red one off of his dad's car lot in Zanesville, it was pretty rad. We cruised all night long once and it barely seemed to put a dent in the fuel gauge. PONTIAC FOR LIFE!! Anyone know if these are good in snow?
i own an AWD but i have not had a chance to use it in the snow (i live in MN).. but i researched them in copious amounts before buying and owners said that the normal RWD works fine in the snow and so AWD is not necessary.. i would totally recommend buying one, best choice i ever made!
Have mine since 01 - been fairly satisfied. Bought it for the advertised "versatility" (not looks)- glad people thought it was ugly - got a better deal since not selling as well as hoped. I used the tent once and later sold it on Ebay. I'd rather use a regular tent or mostly have slept without using a tent since there is enough space. Mine does leak in harder rains now. At 98K the trans slips a bit. Also I'm told I need a bearing hub replaced. My goal has been to get 10 yrs from it.

Fantastic video man. We've got an '03 Aztek and absolutely love it. No problems with ours aside from routine maintenance, drives like new even though it's 7 model years old.
With the seats out of the back of ours we've carried a couch and loveseat when we helped my brother move. It works like a truck and has the roominess and comfort of a van, and drives like a car and gets decent mileage to boot.
Absolutely fantastic vehicle, but sadly, few people ever gave it a chance.
It does have traction control and I had no problems with slippage in our INSANELY icy/snowy Syracuse winter. They do make AWD versions, too...but the mileage drops a bit with those.
