  • This is how yuppies make Sangria, not Spanish people.

  • it isnt Sangria its english mix of something. In Spain Sangria is only from red vine and its usually cheap vine, as you dont want waste good vine, mixing it with other stuff.

Some people add "champain" to get it fizzy

  • Spanish right here. All I can say is that this ain't traditional Spanish Sangria.

This is more like White People's Sangria.

  • ok i got some spanish in me and i know this aint how u make sangria. all u need is wine, club soda, sugar n citrus. mabey some whiskey.

  • I usually put in fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh squeezed lime juice, a lime, lemon, and orange cut in to eighths. two shots of decent brandy(torres), two shots of grand marnier, simple syrup, 8oz of sprite, then a bottle of sangre toro (for red sangria) or Jaume Serra Cristalino (for white sangria). It makes some of the best sangria I have ever had. Also buy cheeper wine because expensive stuff usually has a stronger distinct taste.

  • Oh, and also I read that in addition to sugar, a little of cinnamon may be added. Also that the sugar is better to dilute it first in a little bit of hot water cause it doesn't disolves well if you pour it directly in the wine. Well that's what I found ;)

  • I've been looking for a recipe for Sangria, and in any of the recipes from Spain was completely disqualify that in addition to red wine, you add a dash of other liquor, to increase the level of alcohol if desired. It's just a matter of taste. Also if you want to a soda, like 7up or orange or lemon Fanta. As well if besides oranges and lemons you want to add other fruits. The secret is to let it sit 4-6 hs in the refrigerator (wine+fruits), and before serving is that you add the soda and ice.

  • Това сиг е хубаво обаче може да те отрови от пиене

  • This is the american version. The original Spanish and Portuguese one is, red wine, pieces of orange and apple, 7 up, and triple sec.

  • sorry but i am no tagree, yes the sangria got brandy and triple sec, but almos red martini and gin, about the wine dont spent a expensive bottle in there, that is stupid.

the real one: plenty ice, fruits( like orange or lemons, peach ....)sugar,red martini, brandy, gin, triple sec fanto orange,f lemon and lemonade, and wine, trust me im spanish barman for a long time ago.

  • "Brandy or Vodka"?! Okay, first off, real sangria has no alcohol in it except wine, and maybe a splash of brandy, but "brandy or vodka"? Those two alcohols taste NOTHING alike, and why in the hell would you use vodka in a traditional spanish drink?

  • just came back from spain. i loved spain and sangria!!! it was fabulous and you spanish people are so very, very lucky to be living in such a beautiful country!!

the sangrias were all so different in each region and it all depended on the red wines they used in each spanish region. they were all so delicioso and i dont see any vodka in any!!!

    Y azúcar a cascoporro!!!

  • No jodan...

  • this not how you make sangria!!!!!

  • Im spanish, and the only alcohol used in sangria is wine.

Oh, one more thing, dont use a good bottle of wine while making sangria, you wont notice the difference if you use a cheap bottle! Cheers

  • i agree, that is not a traditional sangria. wine is the only alcohol ingredient.

  • I guess Americans/Brits like to steal things from other cultures and butcher the making of them. But whatev, that's why we like Americans/Brits.

  • @p0rnMadrid Well of course the rest of us know you use the cheapest stuff cos your the poor man of Europe you Spanish fools are. Always try using the cheapest ingredients. I dont know.

  • @p0rnMadrid

Thanks ffor that! I'm going to try making it. I've got a cheap bottle of wine and I'm sure once mixed with all the other ingredients, I won't really notice the difference. Thanks again :)

  • If you don't find "Triple sec" you can try

    "Cointreau", a french imitation.

    .

  • That's actually backwards. You are more likely to find triple sec anywhere than Cointreau. Cointreau, Grand Marnier and triple sec are all orange based liquers, being triple sec the cheapest of them all. Plus, no reason to waste the expensive one in a drink where you won't taste the difference :)

  • r4m0n0 is quite right. All the alcohol needed comes from the red wine; except when you use red grape juice as an option, u can add some alcohol. Leaving the mix in the fridge for some hours makes a better blend. I live in Spain, so i know! My favourite.

  • Luuv Sangria!

  • I'll just buy it from the store this is to difficult and pricey

  • dont put vodka into sangria for gods sake that's worse than kicking a baby, only wine sugar and fruits like lemon, orange and apple

trust me i'm spanish and I really know how to make the traditional sangria

    this is butchering it

  • it taste realy good chilled.(=

  • Thanks, looks great!

  • Triple sec is an orange-flavored liqueur made from the dried peel of oranges

  • whats triple sec?

  • Triple sec is an orange-flavored liqueur made from the dried peel of oranges

  • Ah right, I would never had guessed that either...thanks!

  • ...undeinekaffebohne...

  • thats just a varient. Traditionally its just red wine, oranges, sugar and lemon juice

  • I always use three bottles of wine because I want my 15 dollars of fruit to last. This stuff always puts me to sleep too. LOL

  • This is the light version :D

Try: 1 bucket 3 Liters sweet red wine 2 Liters orange juice 1/2 a bottle of vodka + a couple of cut lemons/citrons

    ->let the party begin ^^

  • stfu

  • fuck this is not tradicional sangría. Im from spain sangria its just wine, soda, sugar, and fruits not vodka

  • y veterano colega...y veteranoo

  • @xoper12 Shes doin a portuguese one maybe cause in portugal we use:

    Kaxaça

    vodka

    beer

    and alot of sugar

  • @xoper12 i want to try real spanish wine, but how will i know if it's real? Will u care to share?

  • Okay i have never had like home-made sangria, but if anyone doesnt feel like making it, "cruz garcia real sangria" is the shit, its not too strong, and not too sweet. My favorite wine.

  • sangria doest have vodka o any other liquor...JUST red wine! no soda! you just need oranges, lemons and bananas...you ma add apple, pears...but it would be more than enough with those three! the sangria with vodka is only "used" for tourists...

  • This sounds really good, but since I can't have alcohol I wonder if there's any other way to fix this. By the way if you replace the sugar with the same amount of xylitol, you can cut the carbs, or you can use about a teaspoon of stevia (much sweeter than sugar or xylitol) which has no carbs. If anyone knows of a way to make this virgin please let me know. I'd love to try it, not to mention it would be healtiher.

  • Get a bottle of fre brand non alcoholic wine

and mix it with your choices of fruit juices

( i like orange, pineapple, and pomegranate).

I guess you could boil the alcohol out of some brandy, but it wouldn't taste as good.

  • damn! non alcoholic wine, that is almost as gros as non alcoholic beer!

jesus...."non alcoholic" alcoholic beverges just don't make sense

  • Its good for people who are addicted to the action of drinking but don't want the drunken effect. My brother was trying to cut back because it was causing problems with his Gf.
