  • I am a spanish speaker

  • I wanna improve my listening and speaking in English, I don't know how to do it please help me, many english speakers I have told that I have a terrible grammar, please help.

  • This is great!

  • Detta video är mycket bra. Jag är learnade svenska och spanska nu och den tips vill hjälp mig mycket. Så, tack så mycket för det.

  • Estoy estudiar Espanol. I would like to speak fluently too.

  • somos la academia inglesgarantizado en españa murcia madrid .tu video es genial.un nivel alto de idiomas es esencial.estudiar sin hablar bien no sirve a nadie.gracias.

  • Another thing that I find helpful for learning to think in the target language is to (if you can) change the language of the media/tools to the target language. My youtube has been in japanese for about a year now and it feels weird when I read it in english (my native language).

  • @jugglingotaku That is a great tip! I've had several students tell me that they are switching their cell phones, computer languages, etc over to the language they are studying. Thanks for sharing that idea. ;)

  • @audioesl I need help, I want to learn a new language but I don't know which, please can you give me pointers on which language I could gain from?

  • I have a friend who speaks 6 languages and that is what she did every time she studied a new language. Her apartment was covered with post-its. By the time she threw them out, she could identify every single thing in her apartment by the language she was learning to speak.

  • @discjockeyfuture 6 languages! Wow! She is a real language maven. I would love to get the chance to get in touch with her. Could you give me her email address or away to contact her for an interview to help other language students. ;)

  • For me, a good way to get me thinking in another language (eg English) is watching a movie or reading something in the target language. After a while I sink so deep into the other language that it feels natural to speak in it, too. Luckily, my friends understand this and are not surprised if I adress them in English for no apparent reason at all ^^

  • @ErklaerMirDieWelt Reading is a great way to pick up new vocabulary words...and watching movies are great ways to develop your listening skills. Keep up the good work. Sounds like you have great friends...which helps too. ;)

  • this guy knows what he's talking about. i started doing this three years ago with german, after I was in germany for a few months and realized that my german was terrible..wrote down anything and everything possible, including objects, common sayings, uncommon sayings and old german, etc. It's really fun and i make a game out of it. sometimes it doesn't stop at an object itself, but if i want to describe the object, i have learned some other describing words as well. i love it :-D

  • @SchwarzerMannn Games are great! You have fun while learning. ;)

  • Vc é brasileiro? pensei que fosse americano.ingles eh otimo

  • @PriscilaUeno Inglês é minha língua materna...mas faz um tempinho já que moro no Brasil. ;)

  • @PriscilaUeno

Hey, Brazucas, in English , please.

    I know you can.

    (I'm Brazilian too).

  • The reason people cant speak quickly and fluently is usually a sign of not enough input or exposure to hearing. Not because that haven't spoken enough. Its a process of imitation as opposed to creating something new. Many times you will correct someone and they make the same mistake 5 minutes later, because the intensity toward them hasnt been enough. I feel you spend 10 minutes to say something that couldve taken 1 minute..

  • Hey Anticks...very good insight. Thanks for commenting. Input and expsure is very important to grasping the language.

You do still have to practice it though...otherwise it's like saying if you just watch enough basketball games you will become as good as Michael Jordan.

You do need to watch a lot of basketball games...but you also need to get out on the court and practice shooting hoops too.

Look forward to chatting more with you. Are you from Taiwan?

  • I have dreamed in English currently but I don't think I am thinking in English at all, sometimes I get myself translating a sentence in my mind from Portuguese to English, that's really bad but I think I am in the right way. :) I can realize my English improving. You also mentioned The TPR right? It is another good way to learn English, I apply that with my daughter. :D:D:P See you David.

  • TPR is a fun way to learn and teach. Great you are using it with your daughter. Keep it up. And dreaming in English is fantastic.

Someone told me that they were dreaming in English...but didn't understand anything because they still didn't speak it. ;)
