This game is going to be great. I knew it from the first time I saw the announcement trailer a year ago and it just gets better and better.

It perfectly combines combat and exploration, the factors that define a Metroid game, and now we can see and hear Samus for the person that she is under the suit.

Imagine being 3 years old, you see Ridley for the first time, watch your mother get obliterated and everything you know and love is gone. Home, family and friends.

The people who are responsible for all the 2D Metroid games including series creator, Yoshio Sakamoto, are now called Nintendo SPD1 and are designing the entire game, including characters, enemies, environments and scenarios. Team Ninja are there simply for programming and 3D modelling.

You'd think they'd put this on the new 3DS because its graphics are just as good as the Wii, or at least have it for both the Wii and the 3DS. So what are going to be the debut titles for the 3DS if not Metroid or Zelda? When I was watching the trailer, I was convinced it would be for the 3DS, but nope, just another game for the Wii. I like the gameplay, looks alot different, the best of 3rd person, 1st person, and sidescroller. Can't wait to play it!

The first one announced the game, the teaser trailer showed storyline cinematics, the gameplay trailer showed lots of action. THIS one, is showing us two of the most important qualities that make up a Metroid game: Isolation and exploration.

It's a formula that's worked for them up to this point, and probably will for many years after the XBox loses its thunder. 1:28 good to see that the orange Varia Suit will make a return, I rather dislike the new sickly yellow effort if I'm quite honest. Although maybe it's just the lighting effects given off by the magma, I'm not entirely sure. Either way, this is a definite purchase.
