  • ...brings back fond memories of the early 80s travelling in my father's Peugeot 403 from Mombasa to the village to visit my grandparents and my late father would have this song and Franco's other songs play in the car cassette player....life has never been so good like then. Could sing this song all thro' not having an idea of what the words meant.

  • classical. Cant say more

    Marvelous♪❤

  • No comparison with current Lingala which as noted by others is more of Porn

  • yes,,,yesss

  • cannot have enough of these master pieces... these guys were great. they put Africa on musical Map...why can't the current generation of Congolese Musicians continue singing this genre? what i see & hear nowadays is pornography and a cacophony of loud drum beats and noise in name of music

  • This song reminds me my uncle Kabbis and aunty Clementine kabbis, may you rest in peace, tuliwapenda lakini mungu aliwapenda sana.

  • bina na ngai na respect means show some respect when dancing with me, or behave when you dancing with me. '' i am naturally beautiful, i am here to dance and enjoy and that young man . he fell in love with me cause of my look elegance, and how chic i am dressed,he should have asked who's buying me all those stuffs ''...you started by greeting me and i responded, you asked me to dance, i accepted cause it's ok jazz music, then you started flirting with me..''

  • Tell me more...

  • why are we focusing on a woman chewing gum?

  • hi,does anyone have the Songs,Mobutu,Ndaya and Libala..i would really like to watch thse songs on Video!

  • can someone kindly interpret the first part of this this song for me. I love lingala music but i can not understand a word and i am so frustrated right now coz i have no clue what this beautiful song is really about. what does Makambo mean? what does lisusu mean? Please help

  • Opési ngai mbote ngai nandimi- You have said greetings (for many times) that I am tired

  • Opési ngai mbote ngai nandimi- You have said greetings (for many times) that I am tired.

Ékomi lisusu tobina nayo- Time has come again for me to dance with you. Na miziki ya OK ngai naboya té- I can not refuse (to dance to) OK´s Music. It is all about a lady who is already married and some guy bumps onto her and wants to "set the ball rolling". She tells him that she belongs to someone else but she can not afford to refuse a dance with him if the music is from OK Jazz.

  • Thanks for this interpretation

  • Msbea123 You are welcome!

  • You are a treasure - Thank you for giving us meaning to this incredible song! Thank you, thank you, etc....

  • @Jsemanda. You are welcome!

  • I feel the same way!

  • this song is bewitchingly nice...i love it

  • This is fantastic stuff. It reminds me of those days!!! Wow! Cool rahndi

  • From left to right:Ya Ntesa, Lola checkain, Madilu and Aime Kiwakana(R.I.P.1991).

  • I agree with you Rahndi. But first thank you for posting these videos. I love Ntesa dalienst's music. Never imagined that anybody would post it in you tube. And wherever he is does he know that some of us just like his music? I would like to write him if I had his email.

  • Bina nangai na respect. this definately the best of ok jazz. Rahndi would have an ok song where Carlyto sing about bouquin des rose?

  • Hey, I grew up in this. My dead father immortalised in us this man and his songs. We will leave it behind for others. Ooh Ndeko na Ngai! - Ogolla Ndeko na Ngai.

  • This is what African renaissance is all about. I love this stuff been listening to it since I was a kid but it is great to watch it on screen. To quote another music Icon who died before his time. Franco and T P Ok jazz are "immortalized in videos". A truly great song encompasing all the things ladies, yeah ladies want to say but dont know how.

  • Dance with me with respect. I love this!!!!
