  • Did you also buy Spud Rack Savers? Or you have Suspension straps hanging off the rack by themselves? Basically can you use them without rack savers is what i am asking.

  • This video was shot at a facility that where I used to train. The power rack was very short so the rack savers were not necessary. Now we're at a much better facility (our own)...Supreme Sports Peformance & Training (SSPT). We now have the collegiate racks from EliteFTS and we use the rack savers more often.

But, yes, you can use the suspension straps by themselves.

  • Thanks for the reply, much appreciated!

  • Matt, are you doing these to get used to the heavy weight on your back again or for some other reason? Just curious...

  • I'm doing them to help my DL lockout. When I stood under the bar and held a another bar in my hands, the bar was right at knee level or just under where I usually get stuck. I've never missed a DL below the knee. My lockout is weak and I'm focusing on squeezing my glutes and locking my hips. Having the extra weight on my back is an added plus that will hopefully benefit my squat and make me more confident.

  • Sweet, thanks Matt!

  • nice
