  • this shit is for girls. go lift some weights to build real strenght you pussies.

  • first these boxes arent high enough for athletes shown... secondly, in 90% of all team sports theres NEVER a time where an athlete jumps repeatedly for 30 seconds,,, ya its impressive and hard but these workouts dont focus on the proper ENERGY SYSTEM.. the PC system only has max output for 5-15 seconds.. instead there should be a maximal explosion of 100% effort, a brief rest, then after the system has recharged, another set of low low rep, very explosive moves,,U 2 R hilarious w the certs HAHA!

  • @dzydave0021 wow you should really read up on peer reviewed articles in pub med. Your statements are accurate but a higher work capacity never hurt anyone.

  • @dzydave0021 got to agree with you on this, I'm a masters sprinter with gold medals at regional, national and international level and all my plyo work is short and sharp with decent recovery between sets. :)

  • after training to fight in a cage...this is nothing. our plyometrics are redic

  • Why would you give someone weight when performing Plyo Lunges when your first client in this video is doing them incorrectly in the first place?

  • That last guy should have quit at 39 jumps.

  • what is a good excercise for building good speed im a soccer player and am trying to raise my explosiveness is pylometrics right for me?

  • @TwilightRev8lver plyometrics is the best thing for soccer players mate. i am actually a tennis player but i play a lot of soccer too and have trained with them. so, my advice comes from my personal experience .. soccer players do a lot of stair workout too .. not sure if that is a part of plyometrics .. good luck

  • Brock, and thats great that you have never had an injury in your facility...I applaud you for that, its not about just ACL...I also focus first on making sure my athletes are not compensatory dominate, or synergistically dominate as almost all athletes are strong but have terrible stability...again, if i came off rude Im sorry

  • Brock, thats great you have 10 years experience in the field and that your a CSCS...I am too...Im also a DPT, OCS, COMT, CSCS, PES...I've been doing this for 15 years...and i used to work for Duane Carisle...Im sorry if i was abbrasive, but I was just taught to do differently and I couldnt disagree more with that video, Im sorry If I offend you, If it works for you athletes thats great...but I dont see how thats beneficial. and from a technical standpoint it doesnt make sense

  • go do your research and find out that Im right brockjm4...why not ask me why I feel the way I do about your exercises...and I will tell you where to look it up and research it and our argument will be put to rest...Once kids master soft landing skills in a ready to play position then they are ready for forward hurdle hops, they should NEVER be perfomed really fast, thats how kids tear their ACL's...so before you say I dont know what im doing, go research and find your wrong

  • @MKGPT99 again, sorry that your expertise and valued time is being well spent watching YouTube videos as a platform for your vast knowledge. I do know Mike Boyle, Gray Cook and other "Experts" of my profession. I am NSCA, CSCS and have trained athletes for 10 plus years. Not a single injury has occured in my facility nor an ACL tear of Any Athlete in their field of play. Sport is multi-directional with chaotic and abrupt changes of direction all the time.

  • @brockjm4 Sport is Never Slow and predictable. Yes, plyometrics teach the athlete how to land (That is Paramount and Focus #1), but within your progression, teaching the transfer of body weight and reducing ground time (amortization phase) is vitally important as well. Your comments are valued, It just seems like you stopped reading your "Plyometric" text books after chapter one. Btw, let's keep it respectful and refrain from the name calling.

  • @brockjm4...thats fine that we totally disagree...when my kids are doing plyo box jumps, I never have them jump up, land and jump down, I have them step down and continue to perform the exercise, not only do they get the benefits of explosiveness but its easy on their joints, if I want them to jump up, land, and jump down I'll just have them do like heidens, foward and lateral bounds and lateral crossovers...ONCE they master joint mobility and STABILITY FIRST, then we do all the other stuff

  • @brockjm4 haha i know it was over a year ago, but don't even bother with those guys telling you you're wrong. i remember doing these very same drills and they worked wonders for my performance on the field.

  • TERRIBLE...for the lateral box jumps, they might well as jump over a hurdle...this exercise they're performing makes NOO sense...the whole Idea of Box jumps are learning how to execute proper landing mechanics and summate gravitational force, once you master that, then you begin multi-directional hurdle jumps...I cannot believe they showed that...even the unilateral hurdle hops, they were performing them too fast, they might as well do a level 2 forward and lateral bound.

  • @EagleFan27 Sorry about your lack of accurate training knowledge and/or ability to articulate it correctly. For I am quite confident that you have not trained those athletes and therefore have no accurate assessement of their training "Level". So given the athlete has a solid foundationm And if you truly understood sports, you would identify this drill as a progression, that trains stability, coordination and explosiveness as is required of the athlete in any sport.

  • @brockjm4...Your an idiot...this is eaglefan27...you clearly do not know what your doing...Mike Boyle, Gray cook, Duane Carisle, and Mark Verstegan would laugh at you...anyone who knows what they're doing would say: 1) they might as well jump over something on the box jumps 2) the uni-lateral hops are performed wayyy too fast and hes gonna hurt his athletes, you probably dont know who mike boyle is...I do train athletes, professional and collegiate...dont get mad cuz you dont know what your doin

  • @brockjm4...Plyometrics are designed to teach kids soft landing skills and eliminate the force of gravity...if an athlete jumps up, lands, and jumps back down, they might as well jump over something.if you dont believe me go youtube "Inside MBSC staff meeting on plyometrics..I was taught by some of the best in the business, and i do clearly know what im talking about..you dont, your stuck in your box of ideas and I bet anything your unwilling to change, and when someone says your wrong, you flip

  • @brockjm4 you really shouldn't be arguing at all with trolls its obvious your good trainer regardless of any method you use and these athletes and yourself are the proof of that.

I would kill to have a coach like you man D:

  • @brockjm4 dude honestly don't listen to any of these clowns. An education for some people obviously serves no purpose other than making them believe they know everything. One reoccurring issue is that people don't continue their education i.e. peer reviewed, scholarly scientific articles of research that prove or debunks certain things that everyone argues about. Things are constantly changing and these methods or time tested for one.

  • @EagleFan27 it seems like u dont perform plyo jumps with MAX effort yourself.. Because if my client had to land from 30-40+ inch vertical jumps repeatedly in practice AS WELL as in games, their joints would be shot to shit... and i dont need to sit here and compare accolades with you to prove ne thing.. increasing explosiveness is very high impact on every part of the body and to avoid hard landing at any cost is optimal... ur beat on that one.. "proper landing" wont help u get any higher son!

  • @dzydave0021 Plyometrixcs reduce ground contact time for sprinting? Ive heard that weight training isn't better than plyometrics in some study, Im confused How much success have you experienced from Plyos

  • The name of the song please?

  • @NazTheGreat the game - how we do

  • @111sully111 lol, I already know who sings the second song. I was asking for the very first one played in the video. Thanks anyway. Sorry i should have been more specific.

  • @NazTheGreat ok no problem tony ton tone-feels good it says in abover like button

  • @111sully111 Can't believe i didnt see that! Thanks!

  • @NazTheGreat no prob :)

  • thxx

  • That last guy was real impressive. I've just had boxes built and I getting up to speed, the workouts are great. As an ex bodybuilder and current track coach these have been the best workouts I've had in years. My students love them too.

  • speedskaters are the pylometric kings... why not get a couple in your video... i'm sure they'd be happy to.

  • impressed by the women on this vid.. very strong and explosive nice work ladies,,,

  • lol i hate doing side jumps and sometimes miss jumping and end up eating it.

  • horrible form on the second guy

  • They look like b-ball players to me, not football players.

  • $100 says the black kid is a running back.

  • or a wrestler, either way he'll put you on your back in an uncomfortable manner.

  • Running backs don't really put people on their backs, they get put on their backs.

  • You must not watch (or play) alot of football. Jim Brown, Eddie George, Walter Payton, Wiliis Mcgahee, Ricky WIlliams, Jerome Bettis, Bo Jackson all put defenders on their arse. I can name some others if you like?

  • You are missing the point.

A running back gets put on his back more times then not.

  • not a real psychometric workout but w.e

  • it says plyometric

  • then what is?????

  • wtf... it wasnt fastforwarded...

doesnt even look close to it...

  • i was training just saturday with plyos...intensive...

but i gotta say its well worth it...i already have 3 inches added to my vert...yay :)))

  • cool plyo, but your foot placement scares me. you guys are all over

  • Comment removed

  • no it didnt?

  • So intense, i love it!

  • than you
