Exact same case as me, sometimes it just stays fine tho. But other times it just wont work at all :(

I went to repair, replaced the screen then everything worked fine. 6 months later, the same problem happens. If you've ever found a solution then, please let me know...

Dear Ben, I'm having the exact same problem with my Tosh A105. The laptop's screen has the same

refresh problem, some bending at the top edge brings the screen back for a couple of

seconds, then fades to grey w/ horizontal lines. The external monitor works perfectly.

Question - Did a screen replacement fix the problem? Did you replace the inverter as

well? Did you have to do anything elsoe inside the main body of the laptop?

I would really appreciate any help on this.

Yes, replacing the screen fixed the problem. I did not replace the inverter or do anything in the main body of the laptop.

Hi!I have a similar problem with my notebook.You can look it by clicking "Hp Pavilion PROBLEMI LCD".

Did you teste the screen by pluging in an external monitor? Whene I plug it , the problem is not visible! Are you resolved?Is an lcd problem or other? Thank you so much and excuse me for the little english!

I hace the same problem with my dad's Gericom. Today I've etsted and the image comes back some of the times I touch the cable connector at the back of the LCD, and also when I force the sides of the screen (until I've made myself a deep cut in my finger, ouch!! XDDD).

tomorrow I'll open the black tape that covers the end of the cable to check what's the problem...

I see the metal piece that has inside all the wires of the video cable, and when I press on it sometimes works. perhaps the problem is the cable or the screen board, but no time to buy a new cable and do experiments: my dad went next dat to buy a new computer.

the connection or inverter is failing, my own laptop has a broken hinge and its getting fixed, its always best to not to use a faulty laptop until its fully repaired and passed tests.

my laptop had a broken hinge and i used it for 5 months before i replaced them my self as ibm was going to charge $137 AUD to get it qouted and then repair costs on top of that so the guy o the phone said i could probally repair them my self which is what i did bought some hinges on ebay with the right fru part number opend it all up and repalced the hinge there is no need to get a tech to repalce a hinge un less it damged the screan as well whcich luckley myne didendt how ever i like your vids
