I wished that the buyer of a car like that could have an option to add on the engine that makes it look more classic, more like a classic V8 from the 60s, sure the ''new'' Hemi is good, but, it doesn't give you the same feeling like a 426 Hemi, i wished you could as an buyer, have an option to pay for to make the engine look more like the 426, rather than this, like sparkplug through the valvecovers e.t.c.

I'm glad Dodge is doing this. The Camaro looks like a no-go. The wheels look cool but are 22". Lot of rotating mass so it's bad for accel, good for handling. Slow 3.20 gears in the rear, like the Magnum/Charger. Automatic tranny only, in the 08. Next year may be a whole different animal. Dodge says there will be a 6 speed manual and all that other stuff is simply swappable so it can easily be a really quick 1/4 mile car.

I've been around these cars ever since i was a lil girl with my dad and let me tell ya, Mopar cars are more valuable than ford or gm cars (and better looking and performing). Shit, i get more heads turning driving my 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner 440 Sixpack than some piece of shit mustang or camaro.. Even the trucks, Dodge made some bad ass trucks and still does. I got a 1978 Ramcharger mistaken to be K-5 or broncos...fucken idiots!

nah the old challenger was not a bad car but they didnt go for quality inside. the rest was top notch. Yah dodge is pretty good. But once instance I bought a dodge ram in 97 and it was a lemon. I would take a 67 chevelle ss over it all thought. Oh wait I already did.

By the way if you dont beleive me about the challanger being a loose car or not so strongly built look it up on Jay lenos garage. He will tell you first hand with the pistol grip handle

underneath it all is is still just a Dodge Charger / Chrysler 300C (LX Platform), nothing special except the exterior looks really and that amount of money it will cost.

As for speed, being 6.1L based as the Charger / 300 SRT8, it's not going to be that fast. I've seen videos of quarter mile runs, you can probably even find here on youtube with a newer stock Mustang GT being able to pull ahead. Hell the new V6 Mustang, a practically stock one was able to tie in with the 5.7L HEMI.

i think i like the design, but when competing against the original challenger it cant but when competing against all the other car designs, i think this is the #1. it can use some tweaking still to the looks on the outside, and i don't like how the engine is one solid block, it looks like it would not be friendly to modders.

Dude i agree with momo the camaro loks nothing like a camaro should and especially not with its 22 inch rims it comes with, besides i also think its retarded that they put all the gauges except speedometer and tachometer down by the shifter, and the challengers seats look like they will have more latteral support to keep you in place going around the turns.
