most of the departments around where i live have old 2 and 1/2 ton or 5 ton army trucks. They rarely get stuck, but if they do they are there for a while
get a big 4x4 ford f-550 like we use in oklahoma and they almost all have winches besides you ain´t stuck til the gas runs out and you can get almost anywhere with these trucks
Carrying someone on a stretcher, especially in terrain, is not as easy as it seems. Seems like they've got a lightweighter for this demo, but that isn't always the case!

wouldnt it would be faster and easyer to just carry the person out instead of having to wait for the medlite to get out there

It was prolly a demo.. I've driven the ambulance onto cow paths, through fields, etc..
