i got mine done in january im not gonna lie it hurt but not bloodcurdling. him putting the ring in sctually hurt more than getting it pierced. also the first few weeks your tummy is very sensitive. but other than that theres nothing to it but to do it!! (also make sure you clean it daily for at least 6 weeks i didnt and it got infected twice) i still have it today and i forget its there most of the time

@angelhottie456, a lot of factors come into play when it comes to how much it will hurt. The piercer, your pain tolerance, and the amount of fat you have on your stomach. I got mine pierced about four years ago, and it didn't hurt at all, but it did hurt a lot a for a few days after when it was healing. I have a high pain tolerance though. I've heard taking an asprin about 15 minutes beforehand helps with the pain while getting it pierced.
It depends also on how skinny u are like the skinnier the more stinging (idk if that's a word -.-) buttt anywayss I also heard it's better to eat greasy foods before u get it done :P getting mine done soon :)

I couldn't even feel it after it was done - but it did hurt - but it was WELL worth it.

yeah, I agree. it's more painful with a clamp..Sometimes it bleeds..And i guess it's better to make it done by "guy piercer" whatever you call them than "women piercer" because it easy for them to do it, It's fast..than girl piercer doing it.. try also watching other videos.. ;) guys are more expert in doing this I guess.

@adnm123 It doesn't hurt at all the clamp is more of a pinch and so is the needle going through after the needle goes through the pressure gets relieved.

Just some rinky dink piercing place in a small town where we happened to be when we randomly decided to get our belly buttons re-pierced. Now for other, more important piercings I've gotten since, I went to my regular, clean, no-holes-in-walls place. Cool?
@chipawonga1 its been almost 3 years since I got it, and my memory SUCKS. But if I'm remembering correctly, it took about 3 months to fully heal. It may seem fine sooner than that, but you can't see the inside where it hasn't completely healed yet. So.. a good 3-6 months is ideal.
I'm 13 and I got mine done on New Years day of 2011. Honestly, I was nervous but the only thing that hurt at all was the clamping. It was a little sore hours after, but by the next day it was fine. I changed it after a few weeks and it was not painful either. I'm glad I did it!!(;

@livelaughl0vee14 1 being the lowest, I'd say like a 2. Seriously, I'm pretty sensitive to pain. I didn't think the clamp felt bad at all, the needle only stung/pinched for like 1 full second. One second of not-so-bad pain as opposed to having an awesome piercing for the rest of your life :P
@mnkim1995 no it doesn't. Because Every time you get it done there is more and more scar tissue that you have to go through which makes it hurt more and more Every time.

i used the cream and it still hurt, sooo i can imagine what it would feel like without it,.
you can get emla at any drugstore counter, its used for needles, but you can use it for piercings. it doesnt hurt that much when you get it. but afterwards it hurts like a bitch, take some pain killers laster on.

I got mine done today cuz from almost everyone I heard it doesn't hurt at all. Well, each person is different, cuz when I got mine, it hurt like hell. It was bleeding too. I think it was mainly really painful, because the girl put the needle in slowly. But ya, the clamp hurt too. they both hurt. I just got mine, and im 14 years old haha...what hurts the most are the clamps, the piercer has to squeeze them hard so your blood circulation cuts off so you wont feel as much pain... the needle does hurt when it goes through but it hurts for like 0.3 seconds...it goes by fast! Dont worry at all.

@want2leave13 That sounds like a bad idea...I'm pretty sure there is a professional piercer near you for less than you think...it's seriously worth it to just leave it to the professionals...lots can go wrong with inexperienced people.

@Ahalo1222 I think we've established that there is a hole in the wall. Just some rinky dink piercing place in a small town where we happened to be when we randomly decided to get our belly buttons re-pierced. Now for other, more important piercings I've gotten since, I went to my regular, clean, no-holes-in-walls place. Cool?

@chipawonga1 its been almost 3 years since I got it, and my memory SUCKS. But if I'm remembering correctly, it took about 3 months to fully heal. It may seem fine sooner than that, but you can't see the inside where it hasn't completely healed yet. So.. a good 3-6 months is ideal.

I'm 13 and I got mine done on New Years day of 2011. Honestly, I was nervous but the only thing that hurt at all was the clamping. It was a little sore hours after, but by the next day it was fine. I changed it after a few weeks and it was not painful either. I'm glad I did it!!(;

I got my belly button pierced last year. But i took it out. now i wanna get it re-done.
does it hurt alot more the second time? because i have a scar. but the tissue isnt very hard... so im not sure.. D: i do have a high pain tolerance. - the first one hardly hurt. how much more does it hurt ?

@livelaughl0vee14 about a seven. i just got it yesterday and i have zero pain tolerance but it really wasn't too bad! its just kinda sora now, i got it yesterday, but its definately worth it

@livelaughl0vee14 1 being the lowest, I'd say like a 2. Seriously, I'm pretty sensitive to pain. I didn't think the clamp felt bad at all, the needle only stung/pinched for like 1 full second. One second of not-so-bad pain as opposed to having an awesome piercing for the rest of your life :P

i just got mine done an hour ago, i would suggest gettin numbing cream called emla
i used the cream and it still hurt, sooo i can imagine what it would feel like without it,.
you can get emla at any drugstore counter, its used for needles, but you can use it for piercings. it doesnt hurt that much when you get it. but afterwards it hurts like a bitch, take some pain killers laster on.

I had my belly button pierced and it ddnt hurt at all but it was crooked so i hd to let it grow shut and get it done again a couple months later... hurt like hell the second time cus of the scar tissue!

In my own opinion , this piercing hurt alot , it's numbed sometimes but mine wasn't and i supose i wasn't expecting the amount of pain that i got . but i don't know , it may be because i'm thirteen i react to it more

I got mine done today cuz from almost everyone I heard it doesn't hurt at all. Well, each person is different, cuz when I got mine, it hurt like hell. It was bleeding too. I think it was mainly really painful, because the girl put the needle in slowly. But ya, the clamp hurt too. they both hurt. Anyways, im just hoping mine never gets infected so im buying anti bacterial soup tom and am going to clean my piercing every day.

I just got mine, and im 14 years old haha...what hurts the most are the clamps, the piercer has to squeeze them hard so your blood circulation cuts off so you wont feel as much pain... the needle does hurt when it goes through but it hurts for like 0.3 seconds...it goes by fast! Dont worry at all.

@MissVillainess yes the clamp hurts more coz when it pinches ur skin and then folds it, it feels kinda sharp. but trust me its worth it :) (its not as bad as how i am describing it)

does it hurt the second time?! please please answer !! i got mine done and then i take it off after 1 month beacuse i play basketball im scared it gonna wrip, but i only take it off for 3 hours then i try to put it in and it seems to stuck so now my piercing is close! but i can still see the piercing.. i don't know that this make sense or not.. but anyway if i touch it i can feel the hole inside =)
