@conversary apparently the Everly Brothers did not think that. From wiki ...In 1990, the Norwegian pop band A-ha covered the song. Following its success, A-ha became closer to the Everly Brothers, who had originally recorded the song. The band members were presented a set of guitars by the Everly Brothers that A-ha continues to use.

I'll never let you see The way my broken heart is hurting me I've got my pride and I know how to hide All my sorrow and pain I'll do my crying in the rain. If I wait for cloudy skies You won't know the rain from tears in my eyes You'll never know that I still love you so Though the heartaches remain I'll do my cryin' in the rain Rain drops falling from heaven Could never wash away my misery But since we're not together I look for stormy weather To hide my tears I hope you'll never see
@kocsogarc About 25 years ago, during a comeback tour. I saw the concert when they played in the U.S. Fantastic! And they still had their voices, many years after their heyday!
My 10 and 12 yr old granddaughtershave discovered the Evs on CD while running errands with me, and each has their favorite of course.I have to laugh when they talk about how hot they are.Broke my heart to tell them these guys were their granddads age.LOL...you're not getting these two Justin Beiber !!!

These guys are the best. They have been my favorite since high school. I graduated in 1967. I know each one of their songs by heart. The songs are as beautiful today as they were in the 50's and 60's. They Everly Brothers are nothing short of classic.

Hi Z! I was born in 1950 and was 13 when JFK got whacked by the crowd you are talking about. You can find a speech on YouTube where President Eisenhower warned this nation about this sinister group of anti-American criminals. This crowd sponsored the Great Rip Off of 2008 and if I had a way of doing it, I's kill 'em all and George Soros would be the first to go. To the other poster . . . it was LBJ that escalated the war. Kennedy was cool.
How did an Everly Brothers spot turn into a soapbox? I saw these guys at a music festival in the 60's along with Frank Zappa, Big Brother, Country Joe and a lot of others. The Everly's performed a super version of "Lucille," pounding on those old guitars, probably Gibson's, that IMHO was the hit of the day (Sorry Janis) but only received a smattering of applause. They were one of my favorite groups in the 40's and 60's, and remain so.

Yes, JFK was a great president and maybe one of the last who believed he could change the world for the good of all the people, not just the people of the USA but all the people. Some of which still believe "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country." God Bless America and God bless all the Kennedy's.
grr,sorry to break ya bubble but the kennedys were rubbing shoulders with the wrong people! plus ol johnboy supported the IRA who loved nothing more than blowing up innocent women and kids! whatever your view on the england/ireland debate thats not the way to sort out problems!

@tonasse
Yes it most certainly is the legendary Albert Lee, who was musical director on the show. This is from the reunion tour performance at the Royal Albert Hall September 23, 1983, I saw it in Glasgow, Scotland.

God Bless JFK, the last true american patriot president to lay down his life for the good old US of A... RIP
papescape 9 months ago
Yes, JFK was a great president and maybe one of the last who believed he could change the world for the good of all the people, not just the people of the USA but all the people. Some of which still believe "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country." God Bless America and God bless all the Kennedy's.
