Why have Americans become some cheap lately? I know we're going through rough economic times and that everyone is bankrupt. But come on, don't be cheap and buy an Apple iPad instead. Support an American company, as opposed to funding all these Chinese copycats. Sorry, but the iPad rules.

@LexusLawyer its not about being cheap. its about getting your moneys worth. this is just false advertisement, this is really on the ereader side. for some people one ipad is two months worth of rent.

@solve809 Agreed. Even though I was able to purchase two 32GB Ipad's for my daughters and a Xoom 3G for myself, they REALLY pushed me back financially!!!!! But I feel they were WELL worth the money for what you get in return. My daughters and I are VERY HAPPY with our products but nevertheless I totally see where your coming from.

@slhone you made a sacrifice for your family, nothing wrong with that. the problem is, it was only in the past few weeks that 7inch or 8 inch tablet prices started to drop. you could also checkout the lenovo a1 on amazonDOTcom (which hasnt released just yet). if your daughters love it just keep the ipads.

but thank you anyways. Besides, my daughters (nor I) couldn't wait for Xmas to come so they got they're gifts early. They don't care about not getting major gifts for the holidays now. Because those iPads are making them pretty darn happy. But what can I say, as long as their happy I did my job.

I brought two of these things for my daughters XMAS 2010.

It was COMPLETELY THE WORST TABLET I COULD EVER BUY!!!!!!!!!!!

They constantly freeze up, they have very slow reaction to touch and THEY OVERALL JUST DON'T WORK PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughters and I were extremely dissappointed with this product........

I would NEVER recommend anyone to ever buy a Next Book,

Although I still love HSN, however.......

Avoid this horrible tablet like the plague!!!!!!!!!!!

But fear not and definitely no worries....

This year I brought two Apple iPads both 32GB (one white/one black) for my daughters for this Xmas and a Motorola Xoom for myself....

I can happily say all three of them seem to work a billion times better than this excuse for a tablet "NEXTBOOK" !!!!!! >=P

So at the end of the day, your absolutely correct!!!!

You get what you pay for in life....

And you learn from your past lessons, at least I did.... :)

@slhone this is not a tablet. its half ebook and half tablet.. which just means ebook with few features. you should look at the nextbook premium 8. comparing this with ipad or xoom is just crazy.

@solve809 You've got a point. So whats your opinion on the Nextbook premium 8. I gave my daughters unwanted Nextbooks to my cousins kids. They seem to like them and now she wants one. She can't afford Ipad/Xoom/Galaxy etc. So maybe that premium 8 would be more to her liking....

@slhone hmmm... the next book 8 is great for the price. it doesn't have the android app market though. i bought one but it still hasnt arrived. the tablet is 8inch. i suggest you check customer reviews on the premium 8 on hsnDOTcom. it also has a front facing 2mp camera which isnt that great. the great deals are mainly online. you could also check out the 7inch amazon kindle fire.
