Of course TV shows today have NO opening credits these days, it's about the almighty dollar! If you notice, shows like Modern Family, & even when Cougar Town was on, they extended their show an extra minute...That's just to make up for the lack of an opening theme song is all! As much as I love Modern Family, if I see it once, I'm happy...But we won't be talking about it 25 years from now like we're doing with these shows!
They don't have shows like this that you can sit down and wach with the whole family without worrying about something being inappropriate or boring anymore. i wish I had been an adult in the 80's.
@worthyambition U r so right dude! I never thought of it, I just remember that sometimes I and my brother complain that there were three women kinda controlling a man's life. hahaha, at that time I was little and didnt know the yunk that was to come on today's tv shows. You made your point
@joshua50101 Thanks dude. It's nice to know that there are people who still want values and goodness in their lives instead of the schlop that society is spitting out these days.
@StukInBuf The starting age of all your picks are maybe 10-15 (and in Eden's case, 25 years) older than the cast was at the beginning of the show. I'm thinking they need to all be a bit younger, especially when Jason Earles is 34 years old right now!!! I could just see 77 year old Barbara Eden trying to pick up younger men- looking back on it now, it was a BIG stretch to make Mona have any sort of shot with guys under hmm... 45? Can't see Meloni sustaining a comedic role either.
Every time I think of this show anymore I think my best friend. Who had a dream that Tony Danza was trying to stab her in a pool. And was screaming "Angela" (which, is also my bff's name) and she woke up. And, Who's The Boss was on her TV. LMAO!
@hightek669-Me too. The early nineties was much more fun, I really miss those days. I remember seeing "Who's the Boss, Family matters and Full house' all the time when I was little. Wish there was a time machine.
Seriously, there's nothing like 80s/90s TV shows. Why the heck doesn't this decade made family sitcoms anymore? Those are the shows people remember as the years go by. Not American Idol and all these other dumb@ss reality shows.
two people have no soul, or have seen that Family Guy bit far too many times. i admit that the bit is funny, but it cannot destroy the happiness that the song gives to its listeners.
I bought first season. I grew up watching this when I was young. I can't wait for the rest of the seasons to come out on DVD. It brings back memories for me. =)
This show is awsome I love Tony Danza. Hes so good in this show. And judith light as well. Shes wonderful. I wish more shows was like this the tv shows today sucks. Big Time I wouldn't watch them if my life depended on themmmmmm.
How about that one episode of 'Friends' where Phoebe said to Rachel or whomever, 'remember that Tony Danza song'...& she was like, 'what Tony Danza song', & Phoebe sings, 'HOLD ME CLOSER TONY DANZA!' (instead of Tiny Dancer) LOL!!
I remember watching "Family Matters," "Who's the Boss," "Full House," "Step By Step," "Kids Incorporated," and "The Mickey Mouse Club" all as a kid. TV in the early 90's was so much better than the shit that is out today. I even remember watching "Inspector Gadget" and "The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!" God, how I miss the 90's and wish to relive that era again!

too bad TV doesn't have much to offer these days period mooky. they need to make sitcoms again that would kick ass. I'm just lucky they have the Bill Engval show. but it doesn't quite have the formula these shows had.
This version of the song is HORRIBLE! The singer sounds like a strung out heroin addict, and the percussion is totally off. How could you let this happen Tony?
Just because sitcoms aren't receiving as high of ratings as reality TV shows like American Idol and Animation shows like Family Guy and American Dad in no way means sitcoms aren't still the bomb. That just means people have bad taste in television. CBS has excellent list of shows; Rules of Engagement (excellent new show), Gary Unmarried, The Big Bang Theory, New Adventures of Old Christine, and the CW has Everybody Hates Chris. to you maybe. In my opinion, American Dad is the best show on television. I'm not going to lie. I think Family Guy is funnier but American Dad in my opinion is even better. My favorite shows are American Dad, then Tyler Perry's House of Payne, then Real World/Road Rules Challenge, then Family Guy, then Rules of Engagement, then WWE RAW, WWE SmackDown, then Judge Judy, then The Real World, then Brooke Knows Best, and last but not least the Big Bang Theory
Rules of Engagement and the New Adventures of Old Christine??? I'm not even that keen on Two and a Half Men since he had a stable girlfriend for most of the season.
to be honest, I never liked Two and a Half Men but it seems to get great ratings. New Adventures of Old Christine I just happened to start watching because of the actress. It's not great but a decent show like the Big Bang Theory. Rules of Engagement is excellent though. I like the chemistry of the actors and the feel of that show. Just started watching though when they went to their season finale I can't really say it's a great show but from what I've seen it is
As the seasons flew by,Alyssa Milano got hotter and hotter. Meanwhile,Danny Pintauro just got gayer and gayer. Judith Light was, year after year,a bland, skinny nothing who couldn't really act very convincingly. Tony Danza released a CD of him singing standards that was,at least,no worse than Rod Stewart's or the million other records that came out in the same style. Katherine Helmond was cool on "Soap",and still cute on this show. If she's still living,I salute her...
Ion television had good lineups...now they've taken them away and that's a shame! I remember my grandma and I would tune into this and we'd have barrels of laughs. We wish this show was back on now.
I LOVED this show. Two parts i remember : 1. I remember when Tony and his daughter were folding clothes after doing laundry, his daughter tried to match socks and one was shorter than the other. She said: "Uh oh dad, here's another one" and they stood up and stretched it out. 2. I remember the boy when he was older running down the stairs, opening the door and yelling to some girl: "Hey yo momma, bring some of that over here" lol
Theres a time for love and a time for living. You take a chance and face the wind. An open road and a road thats hidden A brand new life around the bend. There were times when I lost a dream or two. Found the trail, and at the end was you. Theres a path you take and a path untaken The choice is up to you my friend. Nights are long but youre on your way To a brand new life, Brand new life, Brand new life around the bend.
This is my fave WTB theme opening. I love the music version of it with the horn. I also loved the fact that Angela was more loose and fun and dressed a bit more sexier as well.

From NBC Studios in New York, it's Late Night with Conan O'Brien! Tonight, Alyssa Milano, Ashton Kutcher, and Robbie Williams! With Jimmy Vivino and the Max Weinberg 7! And now, here's your host, Conannnnnn O'Briiiiien!
love this show great thanks for uplouding all of them. go tony danza judith light alyssa milano danny pintauro and katluurind helmond. ****************************** rember this show forever. #############
Danny Pintauro in real life is a gay man, and openly. Katherine Heolmond has dentures, those are not her real teeth. Alyssa Milano has has anorexia nervosa, an eating disorder. Tony Danza has had a numerous line up of television flops-- Taxi, The Tony Danza Show, etc. and Judith Light once considered having a sex change and becoming a man.
You can say all the nasty and crude things about this show that you want, but the fact remains that it was a show you could watch with the entire family-a type of show that's nearly non-existent now. TV in the eighties was much better than the junk they show today.
Danny Pintauro and Helmond are about the only ones you're right about. That's the Growing Pains girl that had anorexia(and she's over it now), Tony did Taxi before Who's the Boss so who cares, and I don't where you got that crap about Judith Light.
I have a sister who, back in the late 80s and early 90s, imitated Angela in every possible way. Hair, clothes, voice, career. She even got married and divorced when my niece was 8, just like Jonathan in the show.

I miss this show dearly myself. If they could do a remake of this show now, here are who I'd have in mind...
Tony: Chris Merloni
Angela: either Josie Bissett or Gillian Anderson
Samantha: either Selena Gomez or Miranda Cosgrove
Jonathan: the kid who played "Hanna Montana's" brother(can't place his name)
Mona: Barbara Eden
Any other suggestions, compadres?
StukInBuf 8 months ago
@StukInBuf "Hannah Montana's" brother was played by Jason Earles.
As for Mona, here are my picks: Either Florence Henderson or Shirley Jones.
jsrosa1282 8 months ago
@StukInBuf The starting age of all your picks are maybe 10-15 (and in Eden's case, 25 years) older than the cast was at the beginning of the show. I'm thinking they need to all be a bit younger, especially when Jason Earles is 34 years old right now!!! I could just see 77 year old Barbara Eden trying to pick up younger men- looking back on it now, it was a BIG stretch to make Mona have any sort of shot with guys under hmm... 45? Can't see Meloni sustaining a comedic role either.
tominrochester 7 months ago
@StukInBuf Ok, ok... the angela picks might work- they would just have to play a character that is a bit younger than they are...
Tony- someone who can play goofy, easygoing. has to actually look like he could have been a pro athlete. Can be an established actor.
Mona- someone who played (or can play) sexualized roles. Maybe at their height in the 90s...
Angela- someone who can play uptight... preferably in their mid-late 30s... same as "Tony"
both kids were unknowns, so no clue...
tominrochester 7 months ago
@StukInBuf Good idea and your picks are all awesome, but "Who's The Boss?" needs to be a movie 1st and Beyonce should sing the theme song.

I love how the final opening was based on Tony and Angela's relationship even though it was upsetting that they never got married.

One of my favorite shows..I wish tv shows these days had great opening themes. Most shows now, just go straight to the action and skip the theme.

I don't think a show with as many Season's as this could be considered crap.
bennjr 3 years ago
how many seasons were there?
blayzed87 3 years ago
I think around 8. It lasted pretty long anyways.
bennjr 3 years ago

i doubt a woman with such small breasts as judith light would be able to get a lead role in a television program today
somewhatlongdong 3 years ago
Ahem, you do know she is currently on "UGLY BETTY"?
bennjr 3 years ago
yes, but it is not a LEAD role!

Wwll what exactly do you classify as a 'lead' role? She is listed in the shows opening credits and that to me is a lead role.

Agreed - this show was created in an era when TALENT mattered more than big boobs...
Jenna Elfman, I rest my case.

TV in the eighties was much better than the junk they show today.
jcanno7 3 years ago 3
I totally agree with u.. shows today arent compared to where it was last decade.. Tv isnt the same anymore
playdude813 3 years ago 6
i couldn't agree more- well said...=]

Danny Pintauro and Helmond are about the only ones you're right about. That's the Growing Pains girl that had anorexia(and she's over it now), Tony did Taxi before Who's the Boss so who cares, and I don't where you got that crap about Judith Light.

Judith Light was one of the first women in television history to routinely shave her vagina
somewhatlongdong 3 years ago
WHAT??? How the hell would you know that?
fela7045 3 years ago 2
Just a thought. But if Danny Pintauro were straight, he could be banging Alyssa Milano right now!
jlfahrer 3 years ago
i suspect he would have trouble maintaining a firm erection to do such a thing

Touche.

when he came out of the closet the first person he told was Judith light lol
mahaman50 3 years ago
He should have told Alyssa. Maybe she would've had sex with him just to make sure.

I have a sister who, back in the late 80s and early 90s, imitated Angela in every possible way. Hair, clothes, voice, career. She even got married and divorced when my niece was 8, just like Jonathan in the show.

It seems as each season goes by, Angela's hair gets bigger and her shoulderpads go out farther! I love this show though
