  • For those people who were checking themselves into rehab after Avatar, it may not be that unreasonable.

This was made in 2006, I can imagine a lot has changed in just 5 years. ENCORE!

  • Why do people always say we are trying to create gods? Transhumanism is about overcoming our natural limitations through science. The invention of the airplane, the curing of various diseases, and prosthetic limbs have done the exact same thing. This is science, there is no room for any talk of god.

  • 2.0 boyz - eminem

  • huhuhuhuhhuhuhuh

  • human body 2.0 will be immortal and shapehift into any physical form

human body 3.0 will be nearly indestructible and beyond human comprehension

human body 4.0 will have vast reality warping power, be omniscient, and contain every superpower possible

    human body infinity ?

human body omni perfect endless coherence loop ? omalpha entities

human body everything imaginable = everything imaginable is consumed

  • @SlayerGod999 I have no idea what you're babbling about.... and i don't think you do either. ;)

  • @666norton420!!!!! wow, keke it took u 4 months to reply, <<<<< IDIOT!!!!!! STUPID INFERIOR INTELLECT!!!!! keke tehe....

  • @SlayerGod999 It's called, i have better things to do than constantly reply to comments on my vids....

FYI, your comment is still nonsensical....

  • @666norton420 your no different than a stupid human keke....!!!!!!! tehe!!!!! STUPID HUMAN!!!!

  • I want to live forever. PUT ME INTO A CYBORG BODY!!

  • i wonder if rich people are already 2.0 humans

  • Our military gov. experiments with aggression against enemies...wouldn't they? I think they are doing such things. Witchcraft, alchemy....things condemned in Deuteronomy....ask GOD. This is deep sin!

  • @Licmycat

    Agreed.

  • i.g. They talk about once you built a superintelligent being that surpasses our minds capability. Well once something like that happens, I think they will either help us be able to understand how you use the full percentage of our brain. Or the first superintelligent will create something even smarter then that. And once it gets pasted that line, human minds are obsolete. There is no further inventions for humans to make, we've would have made our last creation. Please don't kill me my opinion.

  • @Scarecrowman27 For some reason, people always think intelligence = creativity. We have no idea how a super intelligent machine may think.

  • @666norton420 That's a crazy point. I guess it's cause were programed to be creative and innovative. But I guess your saying that a super intelligence would be already surpassed that? Or are you saying they would be thinking of just something totally different? I don't know, it's just crazy. What do you think would happen?

  • @Scarecrowman27 I cannot begin to speculate on what a true AI would think or feel. I'm sure it's base programming would have effects on it, but how much/for how long is unknowable.

Though, this whole taking over and conquering us isn't something they really should be thinking about imo. Conquering and climbing the social ladder is a primate thing.

So hey, the sky's the limit i guess...

  • @666norton420 wouldnt it be biologically engineered superhumans, not machines? think the movie limitless + arnold schwartzeneger. every one of them.

  • @666norton420 ummm...actually creativity is an aspect of intelligence.

  • @zanderceo91 Very good. You can be a creative stick. Thanks for adding to the conversation. ;)

  • Singularity feels like it gets closer and closer the more I look around.

  • did any1 notice harry potter music in the video ? :/

  • theres i no doubt that we will face huge problems about controlling computers AI in the future... it will destroy us??, well it depends in our stupidity in the future....

  • Only individuals with a correct additude towards singularity will reap it's benefits. Others shall stay in their mundane little world. There need not be a war, most probably there won't be, as the post-human minds have so much greater technological advantage that the mundanes dare not confront them. A split civilization; we, the courageous shall travel beyond stars as immortals, the fearful and the mundane shall be left behind. End of story. Everybody win :)

  • a thousand years from, everything done by posthumans will be unimaginable. they will control and become everything imaginable, unimaginable, known, unknown, possible, impossible, etc... God, the omniverse, omnigodverse, everything beyond them and everything absolutely or omega omni-totality and everything beyond this as well

  • @SlayerGod999 only if we ever get to that point...

    ;d

  • We'll probably end up manipulating the universe using the magnetic force into some sort of huge machine, kinda like amino acids form from simple atoms and then make their way through the elements using evolution.

I mean is it merely coincidense that the universe is shaped like the molecules that make up everything in it???

    Filamentery reallity.

  • Picture the universe is a ocean of water molecules in a higher existense, our supercluster is an atom, and we are life forming at the atomic level.

So really all this technological advancment however unatural it may seem,is actually just part of evolution.Makes worrying about it pointless.I dont think we'r gona create super intelligent machines,i think wer gona become them. All this information wer seeking is for the organism we are becoming.

  • @Aspanaut good point there, i think also we will become the computers in the future! we have computers now as an instrument but in the future we will implant computer chips in our brain!

  • @dennis3380 If you wish to follow that idea further, go to google video and watch Building Gods, it's incredible. :)

  • @666norton420 yeah i just saw it, awsome! i fuckin love the theory of Hugo de Garis about the artilects war!

  • As science progresses we must be cautious to not let ourselves get lost and intoxicated with what we're capable of accomplishing, this is where problems will become reality. I'm sure that if they placed electrodes in Mr Delgado's head that he would have possibly pissed or crapped his pants. This is more like animal cruelty than a scientific revolution imho.

  • @sd501global Your humble opinion, is, in my humble opinion, stupid. How would we become "lost and intoxicated?" What does that even mean? There is nothing but what we accomplish; there is no god. Scientific advancement often requires research be done on animals, but I see no evidence suggesting the bull was tortured; they were merely controlling the bull, not stimulating its pain centers.

  • A message to all 1.0 humans.

You will all be assimilated into the singilarity collective.

    Resistance is futile.

  • @celshader Complete assimilation? You 2.0'ers must have a new meaning for that word.

  • @samueltuckercrigler i guess you're not a fan of Star Trek.

it's a reference to the Borg - hive mind.... google it. :)

    ;d

  • The future genetic menace to humankind ; I'm not gonna' run towards your fookin' cattlecall!

  • @leroysky96 while this can lead us down the wrong path, many technologies can do so. this is a powerful one, but it still follows the same rules and open to corruption.

    ;d

  • wow...

i think you win the award for most incoherent sentence, both in content and context.

    very well done!

if i thought for a moment that you were serious, i'd fear for the future of our species......

    ;d

  • @666norton420 watch out for the banana phone, it eats faces.

  • @XaneCrazy Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring.......BANANAPHONE. lol XD

  • @orandez The number of the beast isn't 666 ¬_¬...the actual number of the beast is 616.

  • To anyone that digs this video: Play the Videogame Deus Ex. A mix between Transhumanist Philosophy and Conspiracy-theories in a Shooter/RPG, Game of the year 2001

  • Wow, someone actually gave this a positive rating. You are far into fantasy land my friend. I can't help but laugh at a person like this. "Arm rocket launchers" My what a colorful mind lol. X,D So funny I cried with laughter.

No but seriously now, this is a dizzying, exhilarating, frightening, and amazing future we may be heading for if we survive the dangers that lie immediately ahead. I agree with the guy at the beginning, "very possibly a technologically-driven war."

  • Oh, and also, on a totally unrelated note, what is that music from the beginning? I know I have heard that before. Is that the Harry Potter music?

  • yup most definetly

  • you guys are funny, lol.

this is a really eye opening film. i've seen it on TV a couple of times.

There is a lot in the land of podcasts on this topic too... check out the SALT seminars - Seminars About Long Term Thinking.

  • But, my fellow, that even life though created has a way of surprising Humans, it is the very 2nd Law of the Universe that governs everything organic and cosmic. Artificial Intelligence will indeed surpassed us in everything and create its own identity that we cannot control because it falls under the 2nd Law, that lifeforms of two races cannot prevent each other's evolutionary paths. You are just Pro-Human, I am Pro-Machine.

  • of course this will not happen anytime soon because our "civilisation" is about to disappear under the onslaught of global climate change ... how high will the temperature spike be? impossible to predict ... how many humans will survive to initiate the next human civilisation? again impossible to predict

maybe by then humanity will have learned some humility and some wisdom

  • this comment is just dumb.

    ;d

  • @kanzeon53 We did alright against "global cooling". I think things will be just fine. =P

  • @kanzeon53 Its going to happen in your lifetime.

  • The network (government) would be able to control and monitor cyborgs with wireless networking. It would be the Borg, except with a wireless network.

  • We haven't yet figured out cyborg mating. Artificial wombs? Organic does not have the high power demands that inorganic does. Inorganic is so much cooler and futuristic compared to flesh and bone. I love futuristic military bots and cyborgs with rocket launcher arms.

  • Without blood we wouldn't need hearts and lungs. There would be no use for the cardiovascular system. We could create new organs and new organ systems. Synthetic mechanical organs made of plastic. We could produce synthetic organs and body parts. Fascination with elimination of blood. Why? Blood can transmit diseases. If we can eliminate blood it would be an improvement. Lightning is smart, and a renewable source of lots of energy.

  • Would Human 2.0 the upgrade to human 1.0, us, even be organic organism? Would they even have blood? Without needing blood and only energy, i.e., electricity harnessed from lightning, we would be the first species ever to redesign our bodies, because we would create our our organ systems. No more organ harvesting stigma. One question remains.

How would we future Borg or androids reproduce? Would making reproduction accessible mutually exclusively finally solve the gender devide?

  • You are obsolete human. You have been marked for deletion.

  • Cyborgs don't need religion. The network will be the new oppression. Government cyborgs would have arm rocket launchers. There would be no jail. You would just be marked for deletion. You would only exist at the will of the network. The network is the hive mind. There is no individuality because of wireless telepathy.

Religion is irrelevant. You have marked for deletion.

You are in need of an upgrade human. I want create my own chromosomes and hormones too! You are obsolete.

  • I guess you have never heard of the Cylon God refered in the new series of Battlestar Galactica? The replicant's of that show have a monotheistic system of belief, always with phrases like "God's children" or "God's way". So, I agree that fabricated life cannot have the concept of God (since I am a Pagan and I don't believe in God), in their minds (minus the chips and AI). But I'm optimistic that they will form a religion on their own. No, I'm in no need of an upgrade wahtsoever.

  • This is critical for us as a species and race of sentient Primates if we are to survive the next eras of evolution, and no matter your own insecurities or your fucking religious beliefs, you know it to be true. Some will resist the noticion of change but it is inevitable, some will become genetically engineered Humans known as Mutants, others will merged with the Cybernetic construct and become as Mechasapiens.

  • That won't actually happen. What post-humanists think is inevitable progress in in fact just the fetish of a minority of self proclaimed revolutionaries on amphetamines. You'll see, it won't go that far. But will something in that direction happen? Certainly.

  • This era will define us much so than the previous one in so many ways; as we built more intelligent machines that cater to our every whim. Us as species must recognized that as machines begin to create an identity all their own, maybe become a race, we must acknowledge the fact that what we create can create itself. Like the Jewish fable of the Golem. And with the sophistication of medicines and technologies, people will indefinitely take advantage of that for their own selfish preservation.

  • So does this mean that maybe the "Greys" from the solar system called Zeta Reticuli maybe really have created us? (the humans) =S

  • lol that guy at 0:33 may be the biggest douche in the world.

  • WTF

  • 1 :44 wtf :D:D:DD:DD:D::D:D:D:D:D:: GIGGLGLEGIGLGLEGLEGIGIGELGLELGGL xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

    CANT WAIT wooohooooooooooooooooo

  • This show was shot in 2004 and the guy who was working on the Quantum computer said he'd have built something useful in 5 years or so.

So far I've heard nothing about him completing a working Quantum computer (rudimentary or otherwise) in the press. Has anyone heard anything?

  • I cannot wait to update my memory - I was born with a high IQ and below average memory.

I'm a complete technophile, and would kill for cyberpunk style technology. A world where your mind and body are truly what you chose them to be - unlimited choice.

  • lol harry potter theme song.

  • Wrong. If I "uploaded" my mind while I was still alive, there would be two simultaneous instances of my mind. This shows that both cannot be me and so therefore the copy is ONLY a copy. The individual consciousness is not transferred, it merely creates a mind with identical properties to the original. It is a distinctly seperate being. It is therefore not a transfer of mind.

  • Our humanity, good ridanse, we lost our chimpanity long ago and were better of for it, on to new things...

  • Comment removed

  • they've come up with a new name for your children's children. they're called grandchildren.:)

    nice video tho

  • wonder if your children's children will be as weird as you guys are:)

  • yea we wouldn't wanna piss off the crazy religious people now would we

  • I would be afraid of corruption. What if someone decided to change a person's personality?

What if governments decided to control the citizens thoughts? The power of choice could be lost.

  • The government already is doing that.

  • "nemesisnick66 The government already is doing that."

I'm sure they are at least planning to use this on humans. There's a video here about a woman that got similar implants to remove her depression with the help of a pacemaker. I didn't know they've gotten so far already as to control a brain with radio signals though. Scary.

  • i was talking about the mainstream media i dunno wth yall are talking about

  • lmao @ 1:42, looks like the guy on the cutting floor had a little fun with that.

  • i love it!! im just waiting for to happen GITS is coming!!

  • I love BBC.

  • Good point.

Besides which, the ability to do violence is a necessary survival skill. It may offend the supposedly 'moral' pacifistic nature that permeates American society these days, but the reality is if you are incapable of fighting for survival you won't last.

Peace, love and harmony are all good things, but it's childish to believe that we're all going to live in a magical hippy utopia.

  • What? No Love potion # nine? Bummer!

I do suppose many would choose "hate", though... and that would just put us back right where we are now...

  • If they can make that bull stop, why can't they put it in all brains and make us love each other? No more wars and mean people. (I know, over POPulation) Sigh... well, wishful thinking, anyway.

  • Other body modifications are certainly possible, but would you really want your mind to be stored in a machine? Imagine a corruption of the data; you just lost your childhood. Some sort of EMP wave went off, you just died.

  • BACKUPS!

Besides, I think they will create hardware that is robust enough. They already do create shielded hardware for EMPs which is actually pretty trivial if the application warrants it.

  • To me the benefits outweigh the risks.

  • MmmM Yeah, that's amazing. Artillects FTW!

  • Um... I was looking for a documentary on the joining of man and machine. Looking at the comments... did I come to the wrong place?

  • hi again, "my parents *@&$##*..end of story"

there is So much more to it than that part man, so much amazing stuff happens. Anyhow, im sure we can agree with each other the differing world views we adopt R an interesting cause4 discussion, even if it does get a little heated. We have both presented some of the points & observations we adopt for eithers case. Be them right or not. Hey while were at it, I am wondering what are your own thoughts on the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ? P

  • Howdy, me thinksThe 'Ai' analogy is ineffective as we know that Ai still requires an external intelligence 2 program it,, like a programmer! And the act of a mysterious process titled "natural Selection" actually "Guiding" extremely cOmPleX amounts of data into Exact order & structure clearly makes me ask... what intelligence is doing the 'selecting' and if there is guidance then who or what is doing the guiding? Prove2 me that a functional system just 'happens'

  • Selection requires a 'selector', and Guidance requires an 'advisor', otherwise left without organising intelligence u end up having a messy workdesk like mine ;-S This Proves the second law of thermodynamics 'Entropy' Which is present throughout nature, but the theory of NATURal selection totally defies this law! Illogical!? Perhaps natural selection is a step shorter than saying 'intelligent design'... but this causes fear, because that means...U know who is up there.

  • Wrestling with viewpoints & apparent proofs is often a fruitless affair im sure u2 agree. Ona mor personal note I didnt believe in God, though there was a time when I almost drowned scuba diving & a revelation hit me that was so tangible trust me it was not a chemical reaction from shock, I KNOW about Chemical effects on the body I just asked God 2 help cos who else could, & I saw& Felt him, this helped me, but there is already enough evidence4 transcendent intelligence in our symmetrical world

  • YOU are the "God Card" my youtube conversant.

nothing cannot create what you see before you in the mirror. your a masterpiece made with severe amounts of genetic data, code, structure, symmetry.. look at the articulation of your fingers as you type, its honestly genius. peace norton anyhow, ive had a good time thinkin about this stuf. Phil

  • Think of it like having a child. You and your wife/husband decide to have a baby. For a while you can control the baby. It's intelligent but is still bound to you for it's survival. You may delude yourself into thinking you can control it forever, but unfortunately the day will come when that baby will begin to express it's own will. Same thing with A.I., except that instead of a human baby, we would be giving birth to an intelligent entity capable of developing god-like powers/abilties.

  • hi again (-:

do U know how many hairs are on a Tasmanian Devil? my guess is nope, therefore we can conclude u don't know everything, to say that 'God is imaginary' is stating you hold all knowledge, but what if he exists outside your current understanding? yes u may hav searched a little but not everywhere... (-:

  • if u base your existence on unguided random chance,(evolution) then your very thought processes are merely more complicated versions of chaotic chemical processes that themselves are derived from abstract mutations, so my point is, you cannot fully trust the integrity or valididty of ur own thoughts and assumptions...

  • ok, that last one i did is probably not the best argument, U do have some interesting points i must agree. But if you have faith i am a real person typing u comments, how much more should it be seen in the articulation of creation that there is a God... nature and all its perfect symmetry. u can hav the last say, its your page afterall. Regards.Phil

  • Hi..."we must not confuse religion with the possible existence and relationship with a intelligent transcendent 'God'" A contradiction? NO, paradox...yes. My main objective is to indicate that there is a CHASM of difference between being 'Religious' & having a 'Relationship',, or deeper understanding of what & who God is shown to be. Did you know it was Jesus himself who came to break man-made Religion? It was Jesus who rebuked the religious priests, i think thats cool...

  • yes Religiosity is "the dead repetition of what was once deemed spiritually vital" God Aint Religion, he is more alive than our man-made facades. I agree this false lense makes God look pathetic, the lens of Christ is best in order to view such a God

  • It's time the "created" became the ultimate creators, merging computers with the human brain would launch society into an astounding future with limitless capabilities for advancement. I would volunteer for such a gift.

  • Hello, i twinged a nerve (-:

yes the story of 'the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil' is an interesting depiction of mans curiosity for knowledge, but i think its Primary premise is not about ones restriction from knowledge, but ones obedience and trust. This is what i see as the main purpose to this story...

  • ok ill add more so u know where im coming from... I also agree that 'religion' is what has truly become "Stained" and in some cases as useless as "human waste". I myself am passionately against man-made religion and its pitfalls. we must not confuse religion with the possible existence and relationship with a intelligent transcendent 'God' (-:

  • "They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles" Romans 1:21

  • I believe my childrens children will kick the singularities ass

  • Sorry to break it to ya buddy, but your results came back and you're sterile.

  • So like does this Jose Delgado guy have any connection to MK-Ultra? Oops I gotta go, someone is knocking on my door.

  • I saw this on Discovery a couple of weeks ago (same thing pretty much but had a different narrator). This shit really made me think about what we may have coming in the future....

  • It seemed as if they were giving the bull some kind of a stroke...While calling it "tame", it looked as if they had taken away the bulls ability to control his own body. Like a stun gun to the brain.
