Usually playback annoys me, and I'm pretty sure this one is a playback performance, but this one is different. I still love it.

I'm pretty sure it's because even though he's not really singing, he is PERFORMING. He puts on quite a show by just moving around and interacting with the rest of the band and with the fans. I think that's what makes Tokio Hotel & few other bands great. That they can PERFROM even when they aren't able to sing and have to do playback.

And they are awesome live! ♥

It is definitely playback. The only place you can here his voice that high is on the album version of Durch den Monsun. And besides, I've listened to the album enough to know when a "live" performance sounds exactly like it. He didn't miss any lyrics; they were purposefully left out.
