  • THANK YOU!!!

  • Always down-up picking?

  • @GALPSPEED In this one, yes. :)

  • lol yeah dude, you rule ! good effin job man !

  • ok ive im your website but i cant fine the tabs for this video? thanks for reading :)

  • NOISE! who really wants to listen to "neo" classical "shredding" through a MARSHALL AMPLIFIER for more than 10 seconds? The era of racer X and Yngvie Malmsteen is over. Just stop it. You are screwing up kids who could be listening to Bach's cello suites

  • I hear ya, it's still ridiculous.

This is like playing with wet noodles !!!!

  • Why on earth would people tune down their guitar?

especially when they play with such a light gage strings, are you guys made out of jelly?

Did you ever hear of any classical player that does that?

I would love to see this: Paganini in a concert...Mr. conductor can I tune my

    violin down? LOL

  • @yoheff988

Can make the sound thicker :) My Guitar is usually tuned 2 steps down (yea, thats too much) because my death metal band plays in that tuning, so when I play classical stuff I play it on Standard D because it freaks you out to change the string tension too much every day :D

  • @yoheff988 Well my band plays in Drop A#. Depends on the type of music you play. Most metal bands play in lower tunings especially death metal and deathcore bands. Doesn't really matter what tuning you're in, as a bass player it's really all about your tone. Same goes with guitar too, you can take what this guy is doing in this video and drop tune your guitar and still make it sound awesome as long as you have good guitar tone. Tuning doesn't mean as much as people think it does.

  • you really are the Wizard of Shred

  • Absolutely Stunning Craftsmanship!!! This is one sick pup fellas...When are you going to release an album Claus?? Your killing me over here...I'm throwing my axe away and picking up a whistle...It's a bad ass guitar too, do you want it?? It'll never get played like that...SMF!!!

  • It actually sounds better when you play it slow.

  • @synholiday

I also like it slower too, fast didn't sound great.

  • I like what you do but everytime I end up looking up your website I can't find the videos I'm looking for, like this one for example...

  • Where is the tab?

  • @PEREZ95NHS On my website :)

  • @wizardofshred Thank you.

  • ...you are playing note groups of 12 right?

  • que cuerdas y de que calibre usas?

  • i dont know if i like the slow one or the fast one better because you havnt used it in a song yet. shredding all depends on how you use it. you could really make some great music from licks like these. like i said, it all depends on how you use it- for the haters.

  • ugh..... this aint music... and yngwie sucks. why dont you listen to dream theatre, they are the closest thing to music that you might like.

  • @skinsunit2 sooo you're better than Yngwie??

  • @torrid94

Lol, a loudmouth poser fuck wouldn't answer that question on the net. I'm sure he knows he doesn't compare.

  • @skinsunit2 Your sarcasm amuses me.

  • :O <------ my face when i saw this.

  • what's the difference between a regular guitar and a scalloped? Someone told me that sliding from one fret to another and getting in pitch can be difficult at first. Is that true?

  • @alepaan I never exeprienced any pitch problems. If you scallop your fretboard too much, creating steep "hills" between the frets wire, then will experience some resistance from each fret when sliding up the fretboard. But that's a clear sign that you removed too much wood. The key is to make the "valleys" between the fretwire low enough to keep the flesh on your fingertips from touching the wood. Don't go lower than that... Thanks for asking

  • beginners lick

  • hi , really beautifull!! i think it' s the harmonic minor scale but what is the key? thanks

  • It's G Harmonic Minor. I tune down one half step so your ears will hear a F# Harmonic Minor. Thanks for asking! And for the compliment :)

  • I liked the slow one better but that's just my taste.

  • did you scalloped your necks self? very nice

  • Yes I did. It's really not that hard : )

  • NICE! excellent playing, were do you get one of these guitars?

  • It's a scalloped Daphne Blue Squier Deluxe with a Dimarzio Red Velvet in the middle and neck positions and a Dimarzio chopper in the bridge : )

  • thanks mate!

  • wow. good quality

  • Thanks : )

  • How many of the same guitar do you own!?

  • Ah... I have two of these surf green / Daphne blue ones and a couple of other strats. But I have this weird crawing for more of the blue ones. Maybe it's because I'm afraid that they will discontinue this series. Or maybe it's just this never ending crawing for more, more MORE!

  • wizard of shred? What happened to radical guitar

  • YouTube deleted that channel. I don't know why. No message, no email, my channel just disappeared.

  • Awesome as always man. Looking for to buying the Ultimate Alternate Picking System tonight!!! What happened to the other products under your products section??

  • They had to go. I've set a new standard : ) thanks for the compliment! I hope you exceed your wildest expectations for your self and progress so fast that people ask you what drug you're on!

  • Thanks for the encouragement! Means alot coming from my new found idol and mentor!~ When you say you've set a new standard you mean you don't think it was your best teaching?

  • Yes they where. But the video quality, the structure of the content wasn't anything like this new program. So they didn't go very well together : )

  • I've encountered some minor problems with Ultimate Picking System, I bought and dled the normal package for $39.00. In both vids, only have the space is used, the other is all green. And in the first one only, everything has a blue hue making you appear to be a smurf. I'm using a vlc player which has worked great for any type of file I've tried playing, but yours are in rmvb which is a bit uncommon but should still be fine. If you want I could send some screenshots, any help would be great!!

  • Correction, I meant half, not have. But the error appears to be in the video. Thanks for anything that could help Klaus!

  • Okay everything is solved lol I'm using RealPlayer and it's all perfect now! I guess something is wrong with the way VLC decodes rmvb files or something. Sorry for wasting any of your time by reading my comments, looking for to boost my picking into supersonic with your DVD, thanks for your blog and keep it up!~

  • I haven't seen your message until this moment. They didn't appear in my youtube inbox! If you have any problems in the future please use the email on my website. I would like to be able to assist you right away. Great that it's solved!

  • claus. wonderful stuff you have.

  • Hey, Boon dude! Nice to hear from you : ) Thanks

  • That sux about your elbow man. also had an injury...they said it was severe tendonitis in my left thenar (or the meat of my palm nearest my thumb.). It swelled up as big as probably half a softball and I couldn't play for months when I hadn't gone a day without playing since I had started. lol. Stuff happens and we've both persevered.

I've checked out your sight and I think I sped read all your posts and printed them off. I'll let you know how it pans out. Cheers!

  • Very nice lick...and also more importantly clean.

Your picking seems so comfortable. It also looks very similar to what I've been trying to train my hand to do but after so many years of bad habits its a pain in the wrist (to say the least). But I'll be sure to check out your other vids man...thanx again for the uploads.

  • Visit my website. There's a lot of videos there that you wont find here on youtube. I actually damaged my elbow a couple of years ago. So I have to play with a relaxed arm otherwise I can't play for more than five minutes. That really helped my technique a lot! : )

  • friggin awsome dude

what thickness of pic is that?

    keep on shredding

  • Thanks man! It's a metal pick. Pretty heavy. Check them out by Googling "DR Picks" I use the bronze ones.
