I don't think you guys quite understood what was going on here...

Stocking fell in love with the ghost because Stocking is into BDSM(ie being dominated by another man/woman) as seen by her frequent love of being tied up. Hence the reason why she liked being treated like shit by the ghost.

And as Garterbelt said, the ghost was a manifestation of the type of men who are ugly,cynical,awkward,lazy and misogynist.

I'm not really a fan of this Anime: the profanity, sexual content, anti-religion references, toilet humor, and just whacked out plots/ storylines, this ONE epi has real substance of the heart... that no matter how profane you are, there will always be someone out there that will love you for who you are. Instead of killing him, she redeemed him by loving him, thus, freeing him of his spiritual condemnation. The old saying does indeed apply here: "Beauty is only in the eyes of the Beholder." :)

Apparently, you are misinformed. I don't hate PSG, just commenting on the nature of the Anime, it's not for everyone, but this one epi I truly favored, it had more heart and meaning than all the rest. It actually moved me, despite the toilet humor. Of course, hands down, Stocking is my fave, even with her unorthodox tastes when it comes to Love, she is such a win in so many levels, and this epi is total proof of that. Go Stocking! :)
